  1. Yes, it's exactly as it should be. Unfortunately for many 'ex-employees' the goalposts have shifted. That the club is being run properly and not as an old boys club can only be good news, it'll weed out those that really care from those who were just after a free ride. (This is not intended as a dig at Le Tissier/Benali etc. I am sure they do care about the club, even if it may be missguided in this instance.)
  2. The Iranian cousin of the Liberian international? Would take a few drams for that one....
  3. Mrs Patel took the idea of home reared meat a little too far.
  4. He had a truly terrible debut v Crystal Palace, against Coventry at the Ricoh Arena though, my god he was good.
  5. He was always a defensive midfielder, not a centre back. He was alright when played in his normal position.
  6. Have to agree. The music for the final battle v Sephiroth was outstanding. Also memorable are Aerith's theme and some of the other smaller boss battle themes.
  7. The investment and saving of the club are however one and the same thing. Had he not invested the past the legends represent could well have been all we have.
  8. The Toledo may make sense then if you want something between a C-Max and less then a Mazda 5. The Golf Max and Altea are the same size (same underpinnings) as the C-Max. But hey, take a look at them and see.
  9. Wow. Carlisle needed those 4 goals. I wonder if that guy in the Elvis costume will be back at Wembley this year.
  10. A very good post. Totally agree with the sentiment.
  11. I'll just go get some popcorn. This is b*tch fight is really heating up!
  12. The voice of consistency will surprise us all one day, but not today.
  13. He was directly quoted in his interview before Christmas that in the event of the Leibherrs wanting to withdraw he knew of other investors. He has delivered on the rest of his claims recently. No reason to doubt him on that one!
  14. Sadly I agree. He was a wonderful wonderful footballer and truly believe he wants what is best for the club yet he has never been the cleverest of people. His heart has always ruled his head and now he has crossed swords with Don Nicola I doubt he can see anything else. It's all so petty though. He'll never be less then a legend in my eyes though despite all this. He is part of our past but we must focus on our future. Nicola Cortese is that future.
  15. Thank heavens Parry has gone. That time slot became a far better listen when Mike Saggers took his place alongside Mike Graham. Sceptical about having Gray and Keys on there though. The current affairs slant of the mid morning slot is a refreshing break from the non-stop discussion of the same issue on the shows either side of it.
  16. Bored of all these squabbles now. Cortese has always been protective of the club brand and so of course he wasn't going to react well to an unofficial event of that type. Particularly if it was just set up with the expectation that the club will just 'play ball' with them. How do the 'old boys' expect the club to react after leaking negative news in a consistent dribble. It's just so childish.
  17. The Frankfurt school recommended (amongst other things): the creation of racism offences continual change to create confusion the teaching of sex and homosexuality to children the undermining of schools and teachers' authority huge immigration to destroy national identity the promotion of excessive drinking emptying the churches an unreliable legal system with bias against the victim of crime dependency on the state or state benefits control and dumbing down of media encouraging the breakdown of the family Welcome to 21st Century Britain.
  18. Like everything, it can go to far. Frankly I find it bloody annoying, it's a tool used to steralise many things that are essentially harmless but can be found offensive by 0.5% of those that may overhear.
  19. A personal wealth of 300 million. Must be waiting for them to go pop.
  20. A Seat Toledo or Altea. VW underpinnings. Extremely spacious (particularly the Toledo as it has a boot with a false floor and an extra shelf underneath the parcel shelf.) and with a higher driving position then most. An excellent vehicle. I had a Toledo for three years, did 85,000 miles and it never missed a beat.
  21. It's a 'Derby.' Of course there will be trouble makers. I admire the optimism of the organisers, but really......
  22. Horrific news. Some serious rehab needed at the very least. Possibly the best of all the drivers out there not to have had a true 'breakthrough' season yet. Fingers crossed for him.
  23. Farewell loan signings. Hello League 1.... if not far, far worse.
  24. West Ham are better at their peak. Wolves are playing good football. Birmingham are resilient. Wigan can and have picked up results against so called better teams. Blackpool will keep scoring goals. Aston Villa are starting to put some form together. Fulham are also putting results together now some key players are back from injury. West Brom had their moment of adrenaline at the start of the season and they have got rid of the man who made it possible. They are in freefall and will now go down, I would 100% put them as one of the bottom three now.
