  1. No snow in Coventry, just hail. It will be 'fun' driving Mrs Colinjb and myself up from Hereford to the work Xmas party in Yorkshire tomorrow afternoon.
  2. I've heard Grubb is good on the floor.
  3. That's better.
  4. Colinjb

    Strikers

He could have been one of our best strikers a few years ago. His injury ravaged frame needs to retire.
  5. Will it f**k up my v11.1 save games?
  6. Nonsense. May all those with an alternate viewpoint die horribly in some way.
  7. Despite the crude way Dune is putting his argument accross, I do agree with the sentiments that the public sector does need to downscale in order to be more sustainable. The private industrial sector I work in has been absolutely decimated over the past four years, I have seen friends and colleagues made redundant while the public sector has essentially been ringfenced. The audacity of some (not all) public sector workers complaining that they have not received a pay rise in these times has made my blood boil. We've had a recession, belts have needed to be tightened. Now it's their turn. I will always feel sympathy for people losing their jobs but given the choice of making the cuts now to aid a sustainable future over proping up something that simply can no longer work..... Take the hit now and build yourself back up.
  8. I saw a spider fall into a deep fat fryer at Southampton Airport. It sizzled well. To feel the need to do anything of that sort intentionally to any living thing indicates something of a warped mind though.
  9. 6 Months!? The same fate as that poor creature would be too lenient for him.
  10. It is a sick, vile act upon a child's pet but there must be more to it then just a random attack on a dog. There must have been some motivation, a revenge attack of some sort? A Staffie called Bronson? Really?
  11. I am saying that the whole system is wrong. The issue is deeper then the fees themselves.
  12. The university system itself is a bad idea at the moment. It needs people who have no real need or justification to take higher education to keep on pilling in... filling them with money and perpetuating the debt problem. There are too many university places currently and too many meaningless courses. Vocational learning has become almost unfashionable and should be the future. The problem is that universities now are not an educational peak, they are a way of life.
  13. Absolutely.
  14. She looks all the better for it to be fair!
  15. I did. £700 per term.
  16. I graduated owing about 12k, student loans were not even part of the conversation when I negotiated my first mortgage. It would make far more sense for it to be included.
  17. Quite, compared to my current situation students will be 100 pounds a month better off then I and many of my fellow graduates currently are.
  18. Warping paper? Is this like a Tardis effect material on a carboard roll? Wrap up your gifts in this and they will shrink into a handy portable size. Patent that baby and you can make millions!
  19. It's interesting that many with a socialist/liberal bias consider themelves as more enlightened or superior to those who are more right wing in their views... who apparently are meant to be the ones who are condescending and elitist. Love these little human/political paradoxes.
  20. I am quite certain of my politics, but thankyou for your concern. Now if you don't mind I have some X Factor to watch on Sky+.
  21. Tory values stipulate that the hard work of an individual benefits society. I was taking what you said in isolation.
  22. I would be interested to know what the sample rates were for the experiment. Like all facts, they are simply refined theories that are judged to have been proven by repeated and confirmed observation. the greater the sample rate the more plausible and credible the theory. I am not dissagreeing with it, I would just like to know more.
