Equally because it hasn’t been announced maybe he’s been there today and changed his mind and gone “fuck this, I’m having no involvement in this clown show”
-
Downes is a certainty. Given he vocally wanted out over the winter last year. Harwood-Bellis strikes me as someone that wanted the big move or was expecting it but didn’t get it, for that he could be sulking. Edozie I would have up there, wasn’t part of the squad over pre-season and not this season after failing to get a move. Aribo doesn’t strike me as a trouble maker, he strikes me as someone that wants to leave but won’t kick up a fuss or refuse to play or any of that shit. Hence his inclusion too at the weekend, if he was that disruptive I’m sure Will Still would’ve chucked Cam Bragg on the bench. Stephens I’m iffy on, I can see him questioning a lot of decisions, but don’t think he’d be disruptive like the above. Fraser, no, he and Russ fell out big time. Armstrong I wouldn’t have in the trouble maker bracket either. McCarthy definitely isn’t. He doesn’t open his mouth on the pitch so why on earth would he off it? 🤣

Makes you wonder if Oriol Romeu has the inside track on whoever may be coming in? Or did he have an awareness that Will Still was on his way out?
-
That’s the only small glimmer of hope for me. It’s that surely if he is coming he must have some kind of inside track of what the plan is for the club. Because no matter a players love for their time at the club, why would they come if it was such a shitshow?
-
Be careful, if you say that to him on Twitter he’ll sue you. See #piegate 🤣
-
To be honest I thought it was DT that called in 😂
-
It’s almost like I’ve said the same thing already this morning 😂
-
Bookmark this: I’ve never been more confident that it won’t be Ralph Hassenhutl, Roy Keane, Russell Martin or Gary O’Neill. Even Michael Carrick I don’t think we’ll go for. 🤣 I’ll be gobsmacked if Sport Republic appointed “a” manager!
-
Absolute bollocks on that front 😂 Imagien him trying to shoehorn in his future son in law, Taylor Hardwood-Bellis.
-
Russell Martin left on horrific terms with the board and players. He doesn’t like the board and the board doesn’t like him. It won’t happen. It’s the same reason Gary O’Neill won’t be our manager, as soon as there is a single mistake or one defeat the fans will be in uproar, and there’s no coming back from that.
-
This account spouts bullshit nearly all the time. It may as well tweet that Mr Blobby is in the running for the managers job and people would believe it.
-
Had anyone heard of Tonda Eckhert yesterday prior to Will Still’s sacking? 😅
-
Agree with the above from @lambtiss. Sadly, I don’t think that’ll be the case. To sack the manager and then practically 48 hours later bring in a former fan favourite who is seen as a leader is a little sus in itself. It could be that it’s been in the pipeline for weeks but personally I don’t buy it, it’s another way of distracting the fanbase from their own mistakes. I have no doubt Oriol Romeu is an asset but let’s not be fooled by this. We’ll probably hire some 3rd division Bundesliga manager as Will Still’s replacement.
-
Unfortunately, their latest diversion tactic is to bring back a former player they didn’t want three years ago because he “didn’t fit the business model”. And fans are lapping it up
-
Sadly, there’s a lot of people like that in this fanbase 😂
-
I hope he’s full of gratitude and courage if he does return. He’s a brave man for coming back to this shitshow. Lucy Pinder must be full of pride. Oh how I’ve missed Russell Martin Bingo.
-
He’ll be farmed out to a West Ham or Fulham down the line. He downed tools last season.
-
I’m extremely confident it won’t be Ralph or Russ. More than extremely confident in fact. The SR thing to do is to promote a promising U21 coach and ruin him within a few games. 😂
-
Odds mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, just that lots of people have lumped money on 😂🤣
-
As mentioned on TSP last night, if he comes to Saints there is no honeymoon period. No time to get fans onside. One goal down or one defeat and he’s lost the fans immediately.
-
I think if he hadn’t taken another job after Saints, and having done that interview with Gary Lineker which he alluded he had learnt a lot about that experience (recruitment, tactics etc), he would be a bit more welcome back. Or certainly welcomed back more than he now is. Going to Rangers and basically doing the same thing again showed that he hasn’t changed one bit. Great football at times, yes. But leaky at the back. Fortunately, HE ISN’T COMING BACK
-
JWP loan in January. Ralph’s first signing 👀🤣
-
Our fortunes are not turning around based on a one single player. Oriol Romeu was brilliant, delighted if it’s true that he’s coming back, but let’s be realistic, the problems are a lot deeper in the club.
-
The names that are being touted are as appealing as Will Still 🤣
-
It was the right time for him to go, having fallen out with most people at the club. But that season two years ago was fun, and I went to every game largely thinking “are we scoring three or four today”.
