Have you ever listened to a Will Still interview? Or read or watched his tactics? He’s no different to any other manager out there. It’s a risk, but weirdly refreshing, young hungry British manager with one hell of an opportunity. I couldn’t care less what his background is as long as the results come. There is no guarantee we get better results with an established coach. (See Ivan Juric).

Anyone listen to Sean Dyche’s interview recently. Talks sense, not a favourable style of play but it would be good to see even an ounce of physicality from our players.
-
Sounds like Rohl is stalling. That should be a red flag in itself. You want someone that is keen and hungry. Not someone who is umming and arring, and is then going to be potentially downbeat if someone better comes in a month later.

We should be gunning to actually win the league, not just be in with a shout.

Will Still is growing on me. Danny Rohl strikes me as the first person to leave if a better offer comes about, he hasn’t covered himself in glory with his exit from Sheffield Wednesday, for all the crap that happens in that club.

I think we change it up, let’s have some fun 😂 Player of the season: Most overrated: Biggest let down: Biggest surprise: Most average: Biggest comedy moment: Best signing: Worst signing: Biggest WTF moment: Worst manager: Biggest tactical/managerial error: “Bravest” moment: Best “heavy metal” pass: Go! 😁

Good interview - talks well. But then we’ve heard it all before so all reserve judgement until the end of the window, see what the season brings, what manager joins, how we set up etc. 😂

It’s hardly a forgone conclusion that isn’t is Will Still yet some on here are having a minor meltdown. 😂

I think the club are putting all their eggs in one basket with Danny Rohl. Would be very on brand for Rohl to say no and Saints to be lumbered with some far-reached name we’ve never heard of. We should be a massive pull for any fringe Premier League players in the twilight of their career or some of the better Chanpionship players whose clubs are in worse financial positions than Saints. My concern is that SR aren’t smart enough to realise any of that.

Mayenda Neil of Sunderland look decent. Sunderland have turned up more today than they did last week. Their players have apent a lot of time on the floor and in the officials faces. They’ve run out of players to be booked now so it’s eased up. 😂

Can imagine Southampton announcing someone like Alex Neil on deadline day. 😂
-
In regards to the rumours above, not everything you read on social media is fact. 😂
-
It’s quite obvious that Saints are targeting Danny Rohl and have been for some time. Imagine if he is the number one target and then the club don’t get him - what next? Scrapping for whoever is left 😂
-
He does the same on Twitter. Pops up all over the timeline. 🤣

Anyone see all the Everton fans in the Fulham crowd (left of the away fans), so visible for their second and third goal?

Coventry were organised last night, but again, all possession and not enough created. It would be nice to have a Leeds type mentality, fast breakaway at pace, drive at defenders, don’t turn back to your defenders etc. Be direct and aggressive.
-
Patterson (Sunderland GK) doing his best Alex McCarthy impression after only four minutes. Sunderland looking poor. Coventry composed and organised.
-
It’s a bit like Watford managers. They say you’re never more than 10m away from someone that managed them.
-
Someone said about KWP and a new contract. The only “evidence” I have seen of that is a random Facebook post with a tier -5 report attached to it 😂
-
The problem the club will have is who is going to take the likes of McCarthy, Stephens, Larios, Aribo, Smallbone, Sulemana, Onuachu, Stewart etc - some you could argue have market value, somehow. They’re all dreadful players in their own way, and will be difficult to shift on whether it be down to injury record, ability, or wages.
-
The only players I’d like to see us keep is Dibling, KWP, Bednarek, Fernandes and Ramsdale. The rest can go. Equally I know that we’ll be lucky to keep one of the above.
-
That’s quite funny but a shame also. It’s like that delinquent child who is a constant menace but you have to keep them nearby because they’re family. Begs the question “what does he actually do within the SR group”?
