  1. Totally agree - I struggle to understand why we are there. Iraq was supposedly due to nuclear weapons, which subsequently we never found but the war went ahead anyway. Afgan is even more of a confusing one. If we can't beat the Taliban, then what other purpose have we got being there? Surely all we can do is overthrow the current government and have another Iraq all over again?
  2. I'm surprised to hear DVDshrink works for you lot. Maybe it was the DVD's I was burning, but it failed on the encryption on nearly all of them hence me purchasing anyDVD. It really is brilliant. Good luck Pancake I think Mr Landrew is the best person to answer your other question! I would have thought converting them to AVI or something like that would be the best method.
  3. When you sign up to the army you agree to serve your country and do whatever they ask of you (I think) thus yes, he should. Don't join the army if you disagree with wars your country starts. It's not like America attacking other countries for oil is anything new
  4. They will be on Dual Layer disks which are very expensive. They hold 8.5GB where as the standard DVD holds 4.7GB. DVDshrink shrinks the files down from 8.5GB to 4.7 enabling you to put it on a normal size DVD which cost peanuts.
  5. As a pro in this sector, nothing works better than AnyDVD. You will need to buy it, however I have never found a film it is unable to copy. Use that, and DVDshrink to shrink the files down to DVD size.
  6. should have had an abortion.
  7. You got merked.
  8. IMO it would be a real waste of an incredible experience if you played MW2 before completeting the first one.
  9. Yes, I think its safe to say that is a certainty.
  10. I lol'd a great deal at this comment:
  11. GOD DAMN YOU You know I'm going to go home and complete it again now to see said extra bits. You have ruined my weekend
  12. Thanks mate. I'm not too fussed about the life of the CPU as I want a new one anyway. I chucked 1.4 volts at it, so I'm going to try reducing it to 1.2 volts when I get home and see how that affects the temp. My friend at work says the volts are what causes the high temperature the most. I've got some ****ty 800mhz 4x 2GB RAM, so that probably could do with changing if I want it any higher. I noticed the room I was sat in became a bit of an oven last night so at least now my PC is multi purpose :smt040
  13. Normally I play around with overclocking when I have friends that actually know what they are doing around. I've managed to get my Core 2 Duo 6600 upto 3.6GHz from 2.4. Quite impressive I think Seems to be running fine and I've run some stress tests, admittedly not for very long. When I check the temp with Core Temp it says 80oC - is that too hot? I've got a Zalman super dooper cooler on the CPU but I'm a bit concerned thats a bit too hot!
  14. A quick google of the name of this game and I said '**** that'. These games are sh*t.
  15. Was disappointed with the ending tbh. in MW, I kept thinking it was going to end and more kept coming which was brilliant. With this one it ended without me expecting it. Fantastic last mission. I also didn't really understand why Shepard did what he did. The greatest bit for me was seeing 'an old friend' again I actually fell in love with him in the first one. Still miss Gaz though. I must have completed the first one about 15 times on veteran. Never played it online! I'll have to give online a go on this one. I try to avoid it though as I know I'll get addicted and will have to quit my job.
  16. Facebook has been utterly sh*t lately. Chat keeps crashing, content not available, your profile is not available due to server maintenance.
  17. It's a complete media frenzy. The soldiers mother has turned her sons death from something that should be private and fragile to totally blown out of proportion media bullcrap.
  18. Yes, I was a little bit speechless when I saw that! When the tank drove up the road just blowing up American homes with their flags out in the front garden! Incredible. The best mission for me so far was the one at the airport. Incredible. The snow level where he slides down and grabs you just as you're about to fall off the cliff is amazing too! Shame there weren't a few dead civvys in the mission where Russia invaded America. People are winging that the game is too blood thirsty - I'd still like to see a little bit more. It is war after all! I don't know that the story line is as realistic as the first one. I mean, just by finding an American who had shot up an airport in Moscow I don't think the russians would hit America with everything its got. I've heard no mention of nuclear weapons yet either. Maybe that is yet to come!
  19. Amazing game. I started on Veteran and its really not that hard. Disappointing to hear some people are completing it already. I decided to give it a rest tonight before I did the same.
  20. I bought mine here: http://www.coolshop.co.uk/catalog/product/58074-modern-warfare-2-(call-of-duty)--for-pc £24.99
  21. I got my copy on Saturday. Its so annoying When you go to install it and enter the product key it says the product key is wrong. Then when you click on 'more help' it says the product key wont be accepted until the release date - 10th November.
  22. Depends who the third person is really.
  23. http://www.w7forums.com/windows-7-64-bit-vs-32-bit-t484.html That pretty much sums it up. It's not at all easy to explain - I get asked by customers on a regular basis if they can have 8GB RAM in their new computer. Of course I say yes, but explain only 2.8-3.4GB will actually be usable. Then they ask why....? It's a bloody nightmare explaining that to someone who calls USB ports UBS ports and still doesn't know what broadband is!
  24. It's good to go. I know lots of people who have used it before. They used to prove it by insisting you had a .sch or whatever email address.
  25. Explaining the difference between 32bit and 64bit is really difficult. It is how the architecture of the OS is build, thus making it able to use more RAM & Processing speed. according to a website I visit a lot: All Windows 7 retail boxes come with both 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs. I strongly recommend installing the 64-bit version if you currently use, or are planning to use, 4GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 64-bit is identical to the 32-bit version for most intents and purposes, but is future-proof and also has enhanced security features. However first check the availability of 64-bit Windows 7 or Vista drivers for all your major hardware. Therefore if you have 1 or 2GB RAM I would suggest sticking with 32bit. As Baj said I don't think they will be making an FM 64bit. It would be completely pointless as aren't the graphics ****e? It's mostly just about managing the team rather than fancy graphics. I know some games such as crysis would use the full allocation of RAM on a 64bit OS. I've got a system at home with 8GB RAM, 3Ghz Core 2 Duo processor and an ATI 4870 graphics card - runs my games quite nicely
