Yes, however I expect having to replace it would have been a bigger inconvenience for them.

Have you been to Turkey Stu?

Was brilliant last night. Much prefer it to the apprentice. Bunch of pillocks with million pound businesses fighting for a position in a business where they get even more money, or the opportunity for a normal person to transform a good idea into a multi million pound business. No competition for me! Apprentice is excellent but I do wish they would get a couple of normal people on there!

I had a new mobile phone delivered via courier and they dumped it on my front door step and signed for it themselves. I was away on holiday for 2 weeks! Got back to a very soggy box. They were farking lucky the phone wasn't broken!

I went there and thought it was rubbish. I wasn't looking for much - just lying around by the pool and what not. The people over there are horrible. All they want is your money and once they've got it they'll have nothing more to do with you. It's expensive to get there and the hotels are very low standard. I'm the sort of person who is happy to accept cultural differences and what not, but they simply don't put in the effort over there. Going to markets and stuff they won't leave your wife alone - I went there with a couple of girl friends and they were sick of it and stuck to me like a leech because they felt so intimidated everywhere they went. The food is terrible over there too - as I'm sure you've heard, a lot of people have stomach problems. My suggestion would be to go to Turkey. Similar climate, the people are really lovely, places don't survive if they don't put in 110% effort so you won't be disapointed. When you leave the hotel or where ever you stay at the end of the holiday the people staffing the resort will likely wave you off! They really are lovely. Boat trips are amazing, sea is really nice and warm with no jelly fish (big problem in egypt), lots of roof terrace restaurants which are really nice. I wouldn't suggest self catering in either place. If you go to Kalkan in Turkey you WILL NOT be disappointed.

I loved Prutton with every cell in my body. I would love to see him back in a saints shirt. He's a beautiful, beautiful man. He's basically a Champions League player who's just lost his way a little bit.

Agreed. The times are'a changing. After watching that program about crime last night it was unbelievable how about 90% of fights etc had started in clubs, pubs and bars. If things go on as they are, only the proper pubs who deal with things seriously and take the law seriously will be left. Unfortunately the small pubs who have never done anything wrong, or can't afford to enforce every bit of the law without going bust will also go.
-
Never bothered me, but I do think it is much nicer going to the pub now without people smoking. I notice them not smoking.

Why has no one been on the moon since 1972?

Look how f*cking ridiculous that shuttle looks! You really think that would actually be able to do anything? It looks like its made of cardboard and tin foil! Why can't you see any stars? Did the camera have a flash on it, or was the moon lit up by the sun? -

That's what I don't get, it's simply having a chat about something that may or may not have happened. Bit like when you do it in the pub. On here everyone gets into a right strop! -

Ok..... but why haven't we been back there since 1972? There surely must have been technological advances between now and then which would be interesting to implement up there. -

I'm not stating any facts Baj, just saying that from common sense it seems a bit far fetched. I'm sure it will all be proved/not proved in my life time, maybe not yours -
It's a conspiracy!

He's a LB which has got to be good news!

I don't have a clue. I find it a bit far fetched to think someone got in a rocket which was able to withstand the pressure of being fired into space, with enough fuel. Then we landed on the moon, got out moon buggies even though we had no idea what the surface was like, collected a few rocks, stuck down a flag and then came back to earth again and survived the whole ordeal. In 1972! Then never went back again. I'm inclined to say yes, I probably do think it was fake. Not on much scientific evidence though as I don't know what I'm talking about. -

That's a ridiculous statement. I bet there are thousands of people who would happily give their lives for that opportunity. So many people are passionate about stuff like this that I don't believe that's the case. Think of all the technological advancements between now and then. It was 1972 FFS. How long did the moon landing supposedly take? -

I'm not saying they didn't happen. I know no more about space than what I learnt out of Star Wars. Just find it strange that after all this time and the technological advancements we don't have people regularly going there. 1972 was a long time ago. We're in a day and age where we have multi billionaires like they're going out of fashion and every ones competing to do the most outrageous thing. -
Where are they or who are they now..?
