  1. We don't indeed but when you consider only 80 people need to pledge £10 to just about achieve it, I don't think it will be hard to do. Hopefully we'll get more than that to cover anyone who is unreliable and drops out. Obviously if it becomes a problem we can just cancel the whole idea without too much trouble to anyone else. I generally don't mind who we sponsor, and based on what others have said so far it doesn't seem like they do either. I'm happy to PM everyone individually after to confirm who they would like to sponsor, but 100 PM's could be a bit of a pain.
  2. I'm not sure how that would work unless we PM'd each member individually. Is that easy to do Steve?
  3. That's what I'm saying. If people pledge their money now and who they want to sponsor, it kills two birds with one stone rather than dragging things on. When things drag, people become unreliable. Best to get it cleared up now.
  4. At least this way we'll get some idea of who people would like to sponsor rather than having no idea at all. As I said above, if the player is unavailable for whatever reason then the next most voted for player will be chosen.
  5. Wouldn't work any other way really, so a good idea. However I think it would be good to get the player to be sponsored sorted out now rather than later, as if it drags on for a few days people are more likely to be unreliable.
  6. Fair points Baj, so I'll amend what I've written above. Don't see it being a problem that someone who puts £50 in gets a better chance personally.
  7. I'll go through the thread when we think we've got enough and put the amount of votes for each player next to their name above.
  8. Yes £10 Wayne Thomas
  9. It costs £700 to sponsor a player. It wouldn't take much for us to gather enough money together between us so the Saints Web Forum can sponsor someone. Included in the sponsor is the players signed shirt, 2 tickets to season players award dinner and I'm sure a few other bits and bobs. SG put forward a good idea that these bits should be put up to some kind of raffle/draw. Obviously depending on the amount you donate, the better chance you have of winning them. (Minimum £5 - Maximum £50) There were a few people on the other thread who showed interest and it sounds good to me! (Thanks for the idea GM/LS) If the player we decide leaves for whatever reason, then the next most voted for player would be chosen. You won't necessarily get the player you choose if the most voted for player is someone else! The players left available are: Wayne Thomas Grzegorz Rasiak Paul Wotton Lee Holmes Michael Poke Jack Boyle Andrej Pernecky Jamie White Oscar Gobern Jack Saville Anthony Pulis Lee Molyneux Ben Reeves Callum McNish Questions: Are you interested? How much would you be willing to donate? Which player would you like to sponsor? Sticky please mods?
  10. or a lesbian. HTH.
  11. Have we tried Saga in midfield before?
  12. Yes - a loan would be much better. Not sure who we could loan him to though! Don't really want to loan him to one of our competitors in L1. One of those loans which states we can call him back whenever we want would be good! I never can understand why so many clubs keep 3 or 4 goal keepers all season long without sending them out on loan to get some first team experience.
  13. Banking details hmm? Post it to me. I'll destroy the hdd.
  14. I can't believe people would choose Poke or Forecast over Bart. He was absolutely fantastic for about 80% of a season and loads of people were on about getting rid of Davis as he was so good. Remember Newcastle anyone? Now people think we should get rid of him! He is clearly our second best keeper and we would be lucky to be able to keep hold of him.
  15. Shall we have a poll to see who is interested?
  16. I think this would be a brilliant idea.
  17. I regularly pull the muscle that is under my foot when walking down stairs without and shoes on. It f*cking kills.
  18. Agreed
  19. Grosssssssssssssss.
  20. Forecast. Easily.
  21. That looks awful.
  22. Would you like me to sit on your face?
  23. Have spoken to him a couple of times and he seems like a really nice bloke. With the right manager he could be top scorer this season. We know he's got it in him - it's just getting it out of him that seems to be the problem.
  24. Indeed. People who stop for no reason cause more problems as then other people stop to give way to them, then realise they are morons and are practically sat there waiting for something to come so they can give way to them, so they drive onto the roundabout just as the moron decides in actual fact nothing is coming, so drives onto said roundabout. ****es me right off though, when people coming driving onto a roundabout at about 40mph giving you no chance to give way to them at all if you've already committed yourself. I do drive too close to people in 30mph areas quite often, so it ****es me off when I have to slam on my breaks to avoid going into the back of them and killing them. It isn't right that I should drive too close to someone, however I think it's worst not to indicate before breaking as the whole purpose of indicating is to let people know what you're actually doing. C*nts the lot of them, including me to avoid dispute.
  25. You sure do moan alot.
