I’d rather have Gallagher as Gabbi isn’t suited to a pressing side, even he admits that and Ralph has said. I even think the Napoli manager at the time said he isn’t a pressing striker. We were in that position with Valery for most of the time Cedric was “injured”. What I don’t understand is these players have received flack under the last 3 clown managers and everyone wanted them shipped out, now we have a manager with the balls to say “yep ship em out, we will be fine with or without signings” everyone loses their minds. Bertrand has been speaking to Ralph daily whilst injured, the thing that has held him back is the past 3 managers didn’t press, he will flourish under Ralph. Name me the last time Hoedt, Davis and Gabbi played for us under Ralph? Cedric clearly has not wanted to be at Southampton for about a year now, if he can’t be arsed to play the way Ralph wants, then it’s right to move him on. Cedric is a good rb, but when someone isn’t interested they quickly become poor or average. Valery will be fine, zaha will no doubt utterly destroy him but that’s why you double up and deal with the threat correctly. Zaha destroys even the best full backs. Your comment makes no logical sense. Deadwood indicates they don't play or have rarely under Ralph. This is true of Hoedt, Davis, Gabbi. Cedric usually only played if, Target, Bertrand or Valery weren't playing. Austin hasn't played much at all. All we are doing is shifting the overpaid subs or players that clearly don't want to be aboard the train. The amount of stick Cedric & Austin get and the limited amount of times they feature in peoples starting XI's, it's now very odd they are now hailed as brilliant players.

Inter Milan probably have a slightly bigger pull than us currently. We didn't have a right back issue until we let Cedric go. Now we do have an issue...................
