  1. Cheers for the info Essruu but I'd already tried this, after connecting it to itunes, it goes through the process of updating the software for about 5 minutes, then comes up with an error message. Annoying thing now (other than it not working) is that as the sim is smaller I can't even just stick the sim in one of my old handsets! Booooooo. I was going to upgrade in a couple of weeks anyway so will have to get a new handsort sorted out sooner rather than later.
  2. Just tried to update to iOS6 and it crashed. It then directed me to recover via itunes. When I did so the recover failed and now I can't recover it or reset it. Just sticks on the apple logo screen. I've tired doing the whole home button, power button resets, but nothing.
  3. Indeed, it's only a short trip down the M27 to find Premier League quality players, stadium, fans & performances, but at league one prices?
  4. Thanks for posting that, a good read! Here's what is says............. Southampton manager Nigel Adkins insists he has no need to look over his shoulder despite reports suggesting his job could be in jeopardy. Saints have lost their four first four matches back in the Premier League, leading to talk that chairman Nicola Cortese is getting an itchy trigger finger. Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez and - rather surprisingly - former Southampton and Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp have been mentioned as potential candidates to replace Adkins. However Adkins, who helped the club to back-to-back promotions from League One, insists such talk does not affect him and believes he will be at St Mary's for the foreseeable future. "It doesn't affect me," he said. "I don't read the newspapers. I've got a great working relationship with the chairman here at Southampton and we share a common goal. "We've had a great couple of seasons and there is stability here at Southampton so we don't even think about things like that. "I have got my own desire to keep winning games of football because we have that winning mentality here at Southampton. There is a desire that we keep being strong and improving. "I think if you're looking over your shoulder thinking 'Well, if I don't win this one' your mind is going to be affected in different ways so I don't even think about that. "At some stage in the future, like in every job, there will be a parting of ways a long way down the line. "All we are doing [right now] is concentrating on what we're doing. There is stability at Southampton, we're bringing the youth players through the system. "We have just played Man United and Arsenal and they would have had difficult spells, but they kept stability and that is why they have been successful." Adkins, whose side face Aston Villa this weekend, insists that the bond of trust with Cortese is so strong that he has not even spoken to him about the reports about his future. "We don't need to talk about it," he said. "We have a really good dialogue, contrary to what many people believe. "We have an excellent working relationship and we share the same common goal; we want Southampton Football Club to do well. "We know there needs to be stability, we know there needs to be support. We drive each other on. There is nothing wrong with that." Rather than fretting about his future, Adkins' message was one of positivity heading into Saturday's clash with Villa. Saints have had a tough run of opening games, facing both Manchester sides before last weekend's 6-1 hiding at Arsenal. A home defeat to Wigan was perhaps more concerning, but Adkins believes the side are well placed to get their first points on board when Paul Lambert's side come to town on Saturday. "We have got to embrace the challenge of being in the Barclays Premier League," he said. "This is where the best are and we have to go outside that comfort zone and feel that pain if you want to be the best. "It has been a great week's training. There is a steely resolve about the players, there is a hunger. "We have learned some good lessons already and there is a lot of belief about we've done."
  5. To me, the litmus test will be whether or not Glasgow Saint is planning to get a t-shirt with Benitez on the back. If so, it's on. If not, it's ummm, not on.
  6.
  7. At least you've highlighted one bit that makes sense!
  8. Does mean that I can get Siri on my iphone4?
  9. SulaimanAlfahim‏@TheRealSulaiman @BLAMON_Energy sorry for typo mistake. " 18 months "
  10. This would be amazing, espically if two of our goals came in the last 10 minutes!
  11. Why is there often this misconception? There's been plenty of times when we've gone a goal down and as soon as the noise from the away fans initial cheer has subsided, the only noise is us all trying to roar the lads on.
  12. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. Football is no place for families, footall is no place for children, football is no place for girls, football is no place for feel good factors, etc, etc.
  13.
  14. Miltonroader in wind-up thread start shocker!!
  15. having been an iphone fan, I've been waiting for the iphone 5 and whilst waiting started to consider the S3. Having now seen the 5 and been very underwhelmed, I'm considering making the move more than ever. How does the S3 deal with music, ie how do you get music on/off it? Does it have it's own itunes type thing for your computer or do you just move files?
  16. How did you feel when he left us to come back to your lot? Did you welcome him back into his spiritual home?
  17. Cheers dds'
  18. What did he say about reading DD's?
  19. Agree, our support wasn't great (still better than Arsenal). And why oh why are people STILL not getting the concept of doing OWTS's slow for two rounds first before going into the fast version, it's not rocket science.
  20. Someone's obviously overslept & forgotten to put some 50p's in the meter this morning!
  21. Tim Berners-Lee has apparently agreed to switch off the internet for a few days after the game if saints don't win.
  22. Agree with this. It's difficult to be 4 games in with 0 points & bottom of the table but anyone who expected to be more than 3 points above where we are now is being over optimistic in my opinion. We dropped points against Wigan, that's about it for me. Draw a line, move on, Villa game is very important but we will tear them a new one. COYR's
  23. I tend to agree with both these comments. I expect nothing from this game, would be pleased with a point & would be overjoyed with three points!
  24. Dear ticket office, if you are watching please take note! Great news that all our tickets were still there, but this really shouldn't be an issue!
  25. Have you got your Hiley 7 saints shirt printed yet?
