In the 80's and 90's I didnt really have any hatred towards them. In fact I remember cheering them on in the FA semi V Liverpool and wanting them to go up in the early 90's when they often flirted with or took part in the play offs. It's generally been the last 10 years that I've developed such a hatred towards them. It's all very well fans calling each other scummers or skates. It's banter. But for Pompey fans to teach their children to point at Saints fans and call them scummers just underlines what kind of club they are. As if a 6 year old understands the dock strikes or whatever. They're just letting small children call other people scum in my eyes. Also, the clubs have a very different fabric. We're more of a family club whereas they have far more of a skanky fan base. We think they're just a rough bunch of skanks whereas they think were all soft who sing a lot less than them and are therefore less passionate fans. Thats the difference between the clubs and for me being at the age where I take my kids to games, it's those kinds of clubs that I cant stand in the game.

Why would we need to guess. We can watch the game too.

Great start then

It looks like were going to wear black. Why ???

I've just called the ticket office. Only if both ManUre and Chelsea get through is the date possibly moved. If Chelsea get through and Utd dont, Chelsea play on the following Wednesday not Tuesday. If they both get through, there's a 50/50 that Chelsea will still get the Wednesday fixture. But of course we're relying on ManUre to beat Bayern first. Safe to say our game v the toffees is on the Saturday.
-
So in short, should Chelsea get through to the semi of the CL, our game needs to swap with the existing Sunday game to allow Chelsea to play on the Sat, not Sun.

When Wayne Bridge went, we got in Le Saux as a great replacement (albeit temporarily). If the club reinvested, I would prefer English talent rather than wasting yet another £10-20mil on a foreign flop (Gaston, Osvaldo)

Is it me or is this just too easy

That last minute equaliser at SMS must seem a long time ago.

To be fair, Saints weren't really threatened with the Conference. Our lowest of the lows was League one, and as soon as we were there, we were on our way back up.
-
It's clear to see we are a top side capable of mixing it with the best of them, but during games when the bigger teams come back at us, we dont quite have enough to keep up the performance until the end. That's why we always seem to do better against the lower teams. Something to address in the close season me thinks.

Get in

But defensively poor. Could be goals in this game.

Yep I think we beat Coventry 2 - 1 at home that day. Only my 2nd visit to the Dell. I remember listening about it on the way home. -
Here's me at my first ever Saints game - in the home game at Brighton.

Cant believe it's 25 years. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was nearly 16 at the time and loved the middle back of the Milton Road. If I was a Liverpool fan it would have been exactly that area of Hillsborough I would have gone for. We were the first team to score that afternoon. See 3:51 below. -
Sex and intrigue? Are you Alan Pardew?
-
No because West Brom begins with W and that means they were 19th going into that game.
-
I was hoping he would bring back the stripes but given his surname we'll probably end up with black and red hoops. Great.
-
certainly when there are no Saints players
