hello again, we talking now? Anyway, there were lots of comments in the post match thread, things like "he didnt look much good" etc. Ridiculous

apart from the fact he has scored more goals recently than any other England striker, would love to see that stats, goals to starts, bet Crouch would be well ahead. But hey, because he might get pulled up by a ref, lets not chance it! -

exactly, christ if we cant find 4 top class strikers from the likes of Utd, City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. what does that tell you about our talent. I love SRL, think he is a very good footballer, so much beter in the last couple of years, BUT if he gets in the England team as a 30 year old playing for a bottom of the league side, well, how desperate have we become? Lets face it, the big clubs wont be in for Rickie (thankfully), so how does that make him good enough for England? If it does, its because we have such a lack of young English talent. Would much rather see the likes of Sturridge being given plenty of games to improve and build for the future. -

If he plays for England, then that would just show how dire our international team choice is. -
two points; the subs against City werent inspired, we were one down so we bring on our top goalscorer and an a more attacking midfielder, thats just plain simple, not inspired. It much more to make the right substitutions when you are winning with 20 mins to go, thats when you have to call it right. Secondly, if we play like that.... yeah, we have played three games whereby we have played well and lost, God help us when we play badly then!

The deal is and was connected with Walcott. Remember when we bought MS? We paid around 2 million form Strasbourg at a time when we were on the verge of administration. How did we do that? I believe it was all tied up in the renegotiated Walcott deal and so Arsenal buy the player for us and we have him until he is fit and proper, ready for The Gunners (very soon in my opinion). Clearly this all speculation Morgan said he didnt know anything about that (he would say that though wouldnt he), but I kept teasing him on all night and i could tell there was something in it from his reaction.

Fine, you have gone and gotten the facts, fair play for that. But why does everyone who I have spoken to, Sainst and non Saints say atthe very first instance, "what was Adkins doing with those subs?", and I mean literally everyone! From during the game, to straight after to days later, its the same openong gambit on the match. i could understand it if MOTD2 had highlighted that aspect, and everyone just jumped on the back of Hansen and Co etc. Maybe running the show was an exageration, but clearly we were getting forward, Puncheons shot, Lamberts left sided run, there could have been more to come. I am not daying NA should be sacked or anything like that, but I was ridiculed when I mooted the fact that when Capello left England, what about sacking NA and bringing him in. Purely based on the fact that if you dont think footballers are going to make it, ala Billy Sharp in the EPL, what makes you think that inexperienced managers would make it. Would you swap RL for RVP, of course you would. Would Capello or even Martinez and have made those substition calls, dont thinks so?
-
Never in doubt that he would emerge better in the EPL. It has been interesting watching him over the years, I remember in the 3rd div, how he struggled but you could see that behind it all, he was a proper footballer. Just a shame that Arsenal effectively bought him, give it a year or so, and they'll probably want him back.

it was on par with Sir Alf taking off Boby Charlton in the 70 WC against the Germans, thats how bad it was. Jesus, it lost us the game FFS. You can talk about bad marking, Davis etc. but the fact is that Utd werent getting near us, we didnt need to mark them because we were running the show, i think if we had left all 3 on we would have rolled out 3 or 4-1 winners. That would have taken marking RVP out of the equation.
-
i'm too busy trying to spot me!!!!
-
never thought i would vote for Puncheon, but just have, terrorisied them.... until he came off!
-
plenty of better defenders have failed to cut out RVP, that wasnt the reason we lost today.
-
you cant judge him on today, the whole shape and direction of the team changed, to write him off after that is plian stupid, Guly on the other hand....
-
Adkins blew the three points today, no other way to put it.
-
Jesus, Iraq! Is he in the Japenese TA or something?
-
God, if we sign players like Owen then we have just turned into another desperate side chasing another PL mercenary.
