i guess that is including where they are now against BHA? its getting a bit close, that 'extra point' is looking bloody vunerable now.
-
whats the story with gd now, anyone got the stats to hand?
-
you cant be serious about that, surely?
-
just typical if WHAM suddenly find the form in their last 4 games! BUT, we can still win out last 3 FFS. Peterboro away - for the taking Middlesboro away - tough, but they play a bit so we could beat them, though more likely to draw Coventry home - Gimme take the above and we are up, party on!
-
yeah, sorry, that should have read, maybe he did not do what NA wanted of him, therefore the last of Guly
-
just got 2 terrace tickets, gonna be a party if WHAM lose today!!
-
I was yeah, right in line in Itchen 4, my point though was the ball was never going to be won, and yeah, it wasn't that bad, but it was reckless and that is the sort of challenge that see some ref's send someone off, and that would not have helped, its one of Chaplow's bad points.

Itchen north block 4

You cant be serious? Hammond is not there to offer creativity FFS, thats what Cork is supposed to do! You are right about the FB's though, last night we played a predictable flat 4-4-2, against a side clearly winning against teams that do this. I thought that playing the same team that won at Palace was the right thing to do, on reflection though (yeah, after we had lost tbf), we should have done something different. We have some cracking FB's at the club that can go forward, the midfiled is our problem, especially without Morgan, I would love to see Lallana play off Lambert, Fox in midfiled with Harding behind him, Chaplow and Hammond in the middle with Cork on the right, with the FB's getting past the midfiled at every opportunity. Adkins got his tactics wrong tonight, just as the players got it wrong against Portsmouth.

have to agree with the above. Why was Guly bougt on to do a 'holding' role in midfield, in fact sometimes he nearly dropped back to CB. I'm not a big fan, but if he is going to come on then at least try and make him effective. I cannot see any logic in taking off Hammond and putting Guly directly in his place. But maybe he did do what NA wanted him to do? If so, that should be the last we see of him.

because this is specifically about Guly, there is a fred about AL
-
lets assume WHAM win all their games, so we better make sure we win ours!
-
I really dont know what people expect here? FFS, it was rocking last night. We are not in ****ing South America, have you been to OT?
-
tbf Chaplow got himself in some good positions, particulary in the 1st half. But he made some woeful decisions on what to do with the ball, though I think it might have helped if Butterfield had overlapped a bit more. The foul on their keeper worried me, why would you do something that stupid? The ref got that right, but some ref's would have had him off immediately. I thought Chaplow was very good at Palace, there is no way anyone is better at RM presently, and given his determination and effort I would stick with him at P'boro, unlike others who come on and pay a holding midfield role!!
-
exactly what i was going to write
-
simple question really: Who would you rather have for the rest of the games? Guly SDR Chaplow or Puncheon? I know who i would rely on most, and he would probably score more goals and at the very least fight to win. Chaplow.
-
If morgan had not taken on the challenge then their lb would have left two of our midfielders behind, regardless of 'technically' how bad a tackle it was, it needede to be covered, though as i said previously, it could have bben done in the 1st place by someone else playing RM, then the CM would not have had to cover.
-
That was trying a slide tackle was it? God help us if he wasn't trying then eh? Blinded by hate, I dont know the bloke, so i cant hate him, the emotion hate is not subjective, stupid comment.
-
he keeps our composure, without him we seem lost.
-
have a look, if Guly had bothered to run across and make an effort (and he had time), closed their LB down, or even (god forbid!) tackle, MS would not have to have made that challenge. Trust me, watch it and you will see what i am saying.
-
fair enough, hope you are right
-
judging by the last two games, thats what worries me.
