I think people have picked up the wrong end of the stick here in relation to the comparison between a professional footballer and a doctor. The original point, that has now been lost, was that someone can be banned from their trade for something that happens outside of that job. No, not always. A doctor can be struck of the register for "bringing the profession in to disrepute" for something that happened away from his or her job. As an extreme example, a doctor that is convicted of rape will NOT be allowed to practice again upon release from prison. Anyway, I am getting WAY off the original point of this thread. For me, I would LOVE our club to become some sort of morale-high-ground club.
