This isn't looking very promising, all told - and I'm only looking at it from the perspective of someone of someone alarmed at the prospect of paedophilia within the establishment. Don't really see it the same way. Forren has to be the dumbest signing of all, given that we lost money and got no use out of him. Ramirez is debatable, and indeed is being debated on the Ramirez thread. Yoshida was a good signing at the time when you consider the free-scorin' alternative in Hooiveld (shudder), but has been rightly pushed out of the team by Lovren and I take onboard that we might have been able to land better quality at the time. Gazzaniga is awful and gives me zero confidence of a win. Mayuka has never really been given a run in the squad. Osvaldo is actually a good player technically, but was no good for the team. As for the idea that it's easy to build a league one or championship winning side, I'd have to respectfully disagree, as would all the fans of the sleeping giants that have been trying for decades. Look at the debacle at Leicester when Sven was their white knight.

This is one of the reasons that I've still got a bit of hope for Ramirez, along with the fact that our first season back, in general, was something of a clusterf**k both on and off the pitch. NA just wasn't a Prem level manager. Fk knows what it must have felt like as a player to go plummeting down the table, especially if you've just arrived and been promised CL football or summat. The business in January unsettled us all. Poch instilled the team with a feisty character, but you do hear reports of him having favourites. I wouldn't be at all surprised if those favourites coincided with the (ahem) movers and shakers. Ramirez has an excellent opportunity for a fresh start under RK, but really needs to go for it. Think this also might be his last chance to lay permanent claim to a place in the starting eleven.
