  1. Seen them too. Think I still prefer Iron Maiden for pure fun.
  2. Only a slaphead would make such a demand. It was trimmed a couple of months ago.
  3. For example, the age-old choice between looking after an infant son and spoffing off on an internet forum 24/7. That's a much more difficult problem to solve.
  4. My problems are easier than that to solve Bazza. Getting a haircut, or indeed a simple hair tie, is a far simpler proposition than what some others have to deal with.
  5. Short of re-arranging the space-time continuum, I don't think it's ever going to be possible for the Beatles to have been born in Southampton. There is a shortage of attractive buildings in Southampton. That can be addressed.
  6. The feelings of those left behind must be paramount? In the specific cases of Kelly and Cook, both are seen to have been people that could have halted the seemingly inevitable path to war, a war that directly or indirectly, has cost the lives of over a million people, turned Iraq into a sectarian hell-hole and cost the UK most of what remaining moral authority it could still claim to have. In cases with such obvious public interest, is it really fair to say that the feelings of Kelly's and Cook's families are the most important factor at play?
  7. Southampton is not a big city - but it has so much it could have drawn on from its history. We're a former walled medieval city and still one of the world's ports of note, if only for the passenger business. To have this sh!theap of modernity plunged into the middle of town is my biggest gripe.
  8. I actually quite like Barton despite him not being a very likeable character. Comes from a troubled family. His brother and cousin are both currently banged up for the same racially motivated murder. They killed a lad in Huyton with an ice axe. It's probably for the best that Barton has lots of money and Twitter to keep him out of real trouble.
  9. I'm not entirely sure most of the general public would even know who Norman Baker is. I'm certainly only aware of him through his critically acclaimed work. Does he have a history of embarrassing gaffes that would have caught the public's imagination? Anyway, could just be a case of Baker getting flak because he's over the target.
  10. You're barking up the wrong tree, Bear. I know Catholics aren't a big thing down there. You've only really got St Georges, St Annes and Springhill as schools. Up here, around half the schools are Catholic. I have met many Catholic girls. I wouldn't say many of them were too faithful to every tenet of the Catholic faith. If it were me, I'd eschew prayers for salsa sarnies in favour of sexy talk, perhaps even as being as brazen as placing your boner on her desk. If she is a good Catholic girl, she'll try to save your damned soul. If she is a bad Catholic girl, you'll probably be getting a nosh near the water cooler by lunchtime. This is absolutely guaranteed to work. I see no downsides apart from possible arrest and criminal trials.

Well it's hinted that the TARDIS might be some kind of forever unknowable entity working to ensure time doesn't get messed up, but at the same time, time gets messed up all the time. Speaking somewhat less facetiously, the show is all over the place and has been for years. Russell T Davies, first show runner of the modern Who, was particularly adept at writing himself into corners that could only be solved with a bit of deus ex machina.
  12. City centre architecture the clincher, apparently.
  13. 3 in total. I have considered the rampage option, but then I'd have to come back as Tw4tman or something.
  14. How many have you got? I've got three points left myself. I'm out of infraction chokey in January and plan to make a fresh start of it.
  15. You lie, Bear. They talk about other stuff on there too.
  16. Not a forum, but plenty of Saints related info here that most Southampton FC sites don't cover. http://www.catholic.org/saints/
  17. Look, if you're anything like me, you'll do three or four seasons, realise you're wasting your life (again) and return to normality sometime around Chrimbo.
  18. Norman Baker, MP for Lewes, has probably done the most public work on the death of Dr. Kelly. He took a sabbatical from his shadow ministerial post to write a book about it. He concludes that Kelly was likely murdered, but stops well short of implicating anyone in government circles. One of his theories is that an Iraqi cell took Dr Kelly out. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Strange-Death-David-Kelly/dp/1842752170 I'll never forget the day myself. I was in Parliament on business at the time and was with two civil servants. Their immediate reaction was that he'd been "done". At the time, I was a little disturbed that they reached the conclusion so readily.
  19. They are and they're not. The match engine is better, although nowhere near as advanced as a football game like FIFA. Loads of little refinements, but if I had to list them all, I'd be a bit stumped. Thing is Tokes, where else are you going to spend 25UKP and get that amount of "entertainment" ( in terms of pure hours spent )?
  20. How to stop high-profile political assassinations. 1) Don't bother sending anyone to get treated if they develop a mental illness. Cap them there and then. 2) No-one to ever live alone again. 3) No-one to ever write a diary again
  21. I may well be slow on the uptake, but isn't VW positing a non-Oswald theory, and isn't your contribution here just a proofless assertion that he's wrong? What year do you think it is right now? If it's pre-'77, you might get a pass.
  22. Question for MLG: Have you ever quit and reloaded because you didn't like the result?

Doctor Who ain't Eastenders, Bear. Lots of time elapses between most episodes. It's expensive to send a BBC camera crew after a roving Timelord 24/7, so they only turn up when there is guaranteed alien action. The TARDIS phones ahead.
  24. It's odd, but I never put my time as a football player for Southampton FC on my CV.
  25. Nope. Didn't want to play for us before and his old man couldn't wait to cash in.
