I guess we'll see. They are 3 hours overdue at this point. The 2 step upload process at tinypic defeat you?

I too find Barry Sanchez's inability to upload photos to be at odds with his prolific nature on SaintsWeb. He's pretty quick-smart with some of those replies, so you have to assume a typist of reasonable competence, and a degree of computer literacy too. After all, he was able to stride into the vaunted halls of not606 and SaintsWeb without being struck down by the almighty sign-up forms, the devilish email confirmations and the payment details nightmare that must have accompanied his transition from Registered User to Full Member on SaintsWeb. If he has made it this far uploading and linking a photo shouldn't be beyond him.

I really don't want to win this by forfeit, dune. Go to:- http://tinypic.com/ You can upload your image anonymously, and it'll even give you the code to attach it to this board. I've highlighted the bit you need to copy and paste. Ta-da! At this point, the old dune would probably proudly remark on how much time I've spent on the effort. Less time than it takes me to make a cup of tea, as it goes. I eagerly await your response.

Yeah, it looked like Day Z commander was the way to go, despite the numerous signposts to get you to sign up for the other service. I wasn't really that motivated because the lappy utterly failed on the base game.

Not everything is about you. Are you a kitchen hand in the armed forces? I don't know if I'd get the all-clear from Dictionary Corner, but I'm guessing that ignorami is a plural of ignoramus, not a play on it.

As Spock would probably remark, fascinating.

Edge Lane, brother.

This is what you'd call a traffic restriction order. At some point, local residents have moaned about people working locally parking cars in their street. We have one in our street, dating back to the days when Plessey was big business. Totally defunct now, as the place is shut down - but - you are in the right. You can park there anytime outside the stated hours without sanction. How do I know? One of my neighbours has been grassing up people from outside the street that violate it. I had a rather "Flower Estate" conversation with him about that stance.

Grown it twice now. First time, got convinced to cut it off. Really missed it, so grew it back. Doesn't really matter what I look like. I only really see my clients infrequently, and there are mechanisms to make oneself look slightly less like a hobo.

I think the pub would be best. Exterior shot if you could, sir Just remember today's paper.

There are loads. Most of the earlier stuff is pretty poor by today's standards. Rush jobs to meet launch, etc. Don't get me wrong, I do love me a bit of Time Pilot, but they could have done better with the super-duper modern version. XBLA is a treasure trove. Most people that I know with Xboxes don't even know it exists. I'm in my late thirties. If you're an older gamer, it's ace. There are a lot of updated versions of latter day classics lurking about on there. There's also a lot of stuff that is entirely original, but basically isn't coming out any other way; would never make a full box release. In alphabetical order, I'd recommend:- Battlefield 1943 - three maps. Japs or US. Planes. Tanks. Have at it. Geometry Wars Retro Evolved2 ( twin stick shooter ) Iron Brigade ( tower defence / mech game ) Mark of the Ninja ( stealth platformer ) Outlander ( another 2D platformer, with a cool colour switching mechanic ) Pacman DX - old school - very addictive Radiant Silvergun ( one of the best shoot-em-ups ever made, only ever released on Japanese Saturn) Trials Evolution ( maddening but seriously addictive motorbike game ) Loads more. Sega have got most of their Saturn back catalogue on there.

I can be humble when I'm wrong, Bazza. IM Marsh or the pub will do. I know them both.

Seems that no-one has mentioned the fact that JJ Abrams is directing the new Star Wars films. Announced this week. Real logical choice in some way, potential bantha fodder in another. Going to have an impact on both series. An interesting thing I've observed in the US is that there seems to be and either-or relationship between Star Trek and Star Wars. I remember saying that I liked Star Trek and some girl having a go at me saying "you should like Star Wars". "Er, I do". Didn't compute. To me or her. I thought Abrams ripped a lot of stuff off from Star Wars when he made his new Star Trek film anyway. Lemme see, freaky aliens in bars, planet-killing weapon, young kid brought into a larger universe by an old hand. It's classic Hero's Journey stuff. I hope the new Star Trek films come to a quiet end, or at the very least, shouldn't exist without some other form of Trek which is a little truer to the series' traditions. Star Trek belongs on telly, I reckon. You need the time with the characters to make it work, and the rebooted universe, which I don't mind at all, does have the unique disadvantage of never having given the audience much time with the cast. Everything you "know" about the characters in Star Trek 2009 is lifted from a timeline that doesn't exist. If Abrams makes a few Hero's Journey Star Wars movies, and that keeps him busy enough for Paramount to consider a new series, I'd be happy enough with that.

Nowish. I have to say, Barry - you really got under my skin on one point. This continued accusation that I live in Shirley must be addressed. I feel it important to clear my name. Accordingly, here are a couple of photos submitted as evidence in my defence. Exhibit #1: Me, with today's paper, standing on Edge Lane, with a large sign behind me which says Liverpool Innovation Park. Exhibit #2: Close up of today's paper. I understand that you are going for a game of football at IM Marsh, then having a pint at the Fulwood Arms. Perhaps you'd like to do something similar. We've seen how you've continually guarded your privacy, so you don't necessarily have to be in the photo. Picture of today's Echo somewhere recognisably Liverpudlian. Not a big ask if you're on your rounds, is it, Bazza?

Well, I don't necessarily hold every opinion of my parents, but I do have more respect and understanding of the pressures they were under when raising kids, and of course it's the old cliche, but becoming a dad changes you more or less instantly. It's nice to see an account of a grandad - your satisfaction in your family is well deserved. My grandad sometimes gets the hump because for most of his life, he was just an excellent car mechanic and a father to five kids, while many of his siblings are high-powered lawyers and doctors in the US. I tell him off everytime he starts that nonsense. He's got a score of grandkids, great grand-kids and the respect of them all. Pretty good place to end up in life, imo.

I've only got Transformed on the Wii U at the moment, but will see if I can pick up the 360 version. I did all the B class (medium) stuff first. Complete that, and you should have levelled and unlocked enough characters to take a stab at the harder stuff. I do have an Xbox live account but don't use it much. Nick is ElevenHitCombo I think. I do have FIFA 13 but I am crap at it.

It's ok. This gets settled tonight, I reckon.

Those are just like, words on a forum, dune.

What you're leaving out is that those Polish workers could actually do something with the pittance your firm paid them. The English jobseeker, with many commitments to make, and much more particular about not sharing accommodation with 12 other adults, might not find your boring job as attractive. We had loads of Polish people working in one of our facilities. About half of them have gone back, using the meagre wages they got here to set themselves up in Poland. That simply isn't possible here, you're not talking about the same incentives, and I reiterate that it's a scandal that someone can work a full time job yet still have to get help from the government for their rent.

Going to Wigan. I expect I'll see a couple from TSW up there. Doesn't really prove you live in Liverpool, though chief. Will all the other away supporters at the game be from Liverpool too? Don't think I'm suggesting that this Barry Sanchez persona has been placed in Liverpool for my benefit; just a bit of misdirection. The entity known as dune famously hated scousers, so it's a brilliant idea in theory, sadly betrayed by the day to day practicalities of pretending to be something you're not.
-
So let me get this straight? You new defence that you live in Liverpool is that I live in Shirley? Brilliant reasoning, sonny-Jim. I think what cracks you up is the attention you're getting. Shame, I'd gotten used to dune by the end. That character was annoying, but you knew where you stood. This one? What a mess. Labour Party member who spends his time talking about the fascist left or the liberal elite, as predicted, like clockwork. Bloke who says he has nothing to hide constantly hiding. Your invite to the Fulwood Arms is of course, welcome - but if I think you're really dune, then it's just a wild goose chase, innit? Like it has been the whole time. Best thing about all this is the amount of research you must have done. Did reading about Liverpool burn your eyes? Anyway, the most convincing reason I've seen for you being dune is that you could have smacked me down at anytime in the past couple of months. The smackdown has not arrived. Must irk you that so many people have seen through your brilliant plan.
-
Just admit it. You'll feel so much better when you do. The persona is coming apart at the seams, kid. It was a good enough idea, but the execution has been **** poor. This latest phase, using known duneisms to provoke bored teleworkers like me has gotta be the last throw of the dice. Liberal elite? Ha.
-
I'm actually thinking of jipping the Labour Party for not being left-wing enough. Guess you like your fail to be epic in the afternoons
-
You forgot to capitalise Liberal, dune.
