And to answer your other point, there are a ton of reasons people hide behind anonymity, some of which I respect, some of which I don't. You make a very decent point about internet nutters. Some people are evidently skiving like f**k, and may not wish their SaintsWeb activity with their real life personality because they don't want to lose their job. I can totally get on board with both of those reasons, and make no judgement on those who choose to retain anonymity for those reasons. Despite Glasgow's opinion of my facial deficiencies, I'm fairly happy with the way I look. I understand that can be an issue with some people too, and again, make no value judgement. The other end of the spectrum is people who hide their identities because they want to annoy the f**k out of people without any blowback. Trolls, in other words. I don't respect their reasons for anonymity. -

Exactly why I asked the easy Labour Party email question. No identification required. Nothing stalkery about that. I am not married. -

Yeah, but my dad and some of my real life mates and work colleagues are on here. They know. Plus Turks can confirm through a mutual mate of ours. -

I posted it because I know that you ( and anyone having a pop ) will be unable to reciprocate. Let's face it, Barry could beat the identity parade right now if he could provide any corroborating evidence of who he is. No-one claims to know him in real life. Barry Sanchez could kill this argument stone dead with a single Internet link, but he'll just play the dune trick and make some accusation of stalking. I think I've found a solution to this impasse. Barry claims to be a member of the Labour Party. He's not in my CLP, but he'll get a load of the same emails I get. What are the last 10 emails you got from the Labour Party, Barry? -

Well, hopefully. I love my American pals and all that, but they're the last people to be telling us how to run a functioning country. If they're serious about the EU's principles, perhaps they would like to join the Single Market.

They don't even want us to have a referendum.

Well done dune, you got him. -

I think you're over-dramatising the stalking angle. Possible projection? I've slipped a couple of "Barry Sanchez is dune" stitches into the general fabric of SaintsWeb, but I've hardly gone on about it full-time. Didn't post on this thread until I saw my name on it and have never accused you of stalking despite the mounting evidence. I appreciate the clarity of your statement though. Thank you. -
In news that'll put several cats amongst the pigeons, the Obama administration has publicly gone on record to say that it wants Britain to remain in the EU, that a referendum will see us turning inward and that an exit is not in US interests. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20961651 Bit cheeky for them to be throwing their weight around on something that is essentially a matter of self-determination, imo. What do you think?

For the record, are you saying that you don't think Barry Sanchez is dune? I'll be perfectly upfront. I'm seeking ammunition for potential ribbing at a future date. -

I only really replied 'cos my name was invoked earlier on. Yeah, I think Bazza is dune. The Liverpool/wife/Labour Party member thing is just a smokescreen. Post frequency and content are all suspicious, and absolutely no-one has said "pap, you're talking sh!te. I know Barry Sanchez in real life. He is not dune". They probably will now. Just for giggles, like. -

Just down the road from me. Will probs go, if only to see the completed stadium. Passed my driving test in Wigan and remember the roof struts being moved through the town. Stay somewhere else tho'

Nope. Still think you're dune. Just can't be arsed pointing it out at every opportunity. -
A drinking pal of mine in Liverpool used to manage cinemas back in the 2000s. He got chewed out loads if they didn't sell enough popcorn, etc. That stuff is almost pure profit. A cinema's worst nightmare is your punter who buys nothing. Despite knowing how much they're fleecing me, I don't actually mind. They've got to stay in business. The commercials are annoying though; especially when you've got a bank of morons behind you involuntarily guffawing popcorn into your barnet after they've seen a particularly simplistic price comparison website advert.

I was reading Den of Geek the other day. They reckon it holds up better after a rewatch. I think that is probably true. I don't think anyone had an expectation that Batman/Bruce Wayne would spend so much time off-screen, so it was a bit jarring first time round. I think I'll probably appreciate it for what it is second time around.

I like Tarantino, but not so much when he puts himself in the movie. I always get the impression that he isn't actually playing a character, just showing various sides of his own personality. Pervy side in Dusk Til Dawn, racist side in Pulp Fiction, mysoganist side in Reservoir Dogs. Seems to having a bit too much fun. Which side does he do in Django? Racist one again?
-
I would say that's a good deal for both parties.

Actually Tim I think I was fairly balanced in my post. I qualified myself as an elitist. What you say is fair. This is geek advice. However, many reading this thread will want to approach different parts of the market when considering new hardware. Many who buy entry-level machines will benefit from my recommendation of extra RAM.

As most will have observed, I am fairly critical of governments, this one in particular. I'd love to stick the boot into Cameron, but on this issue, I can't. Now I'm fairly sure that there are other considerations, Such as the huge newly discovered oil deposits, but the rights of the islanders to self determination is paramount. This is a populist move organised by a government in crisis. I'm sure many Argentinians want the islands back. Who doesn't like free land and free oil? It'll be interesting to see what sort of noises the Americans make over this one. They were not too supportive before, special relationship and all. Have they made a statement yet?
