I'd have thought that JWP's indifferent displays this season would have been just fine for this England side. Backwards, sidewards, slow, slower build up. I'll not be watching any of the Qatar corrupt circus anyway but have to feel a bit sorry for the lad not to have made it. His poor form made Southgate's big boy team players preferences just a bit easier though. I suspect JWP will be off to pastures new before long.

Someone said that Saints defence was much improved. Not on that performance. Even so, we witnessed the usual glaring misses in attack so 1-4 it is.
