  1. Perraud's shot would have beaten most 'keepers and nestled in the far corner. I'd stick him up front.
  2. Saints need to score at least two goals in this game otherwise we're in real trouble. Beyond the shot from Perraud we've looked toothless. We're going down with hardly a whimper.
  3. Oh it was Bowen.
  4. Ings does Saints a favour by hitting the bar.
  5. DCC yellow. How soon before Saints are reduced to 10?
  6. I've lost count of the number of times Moi has given the ball away.
  7. All that fannying around and then allow an unchallenged header. Seen it so many times this season.
  8. Three players offside but presumably not involved even though they're standing in the penalty area.
  9. A cross into the box and WHU score easily.
  10. Good away performance so far from Saints. Lots of possession and steady as she goes. A goal would be nice but to narrow in attack.
  11. At some stage in the last 10 games of the season Saints are going to have to try and win a game rather than just trying to avoid defeat. Best we can expect today is to sneak a 0-1 win but I feel a 4-1 defeat is much more likely. Draw is no good.
  12. Yep. It's my calculation that 38 points will guarantee safety. Anything less and we'll be in trouble. Last 5 games form has us finishing on 33 points. 😬 So 5 wins (or the equivalent) out of the 10 games remaining would definitely come close to great escape territory.
  13. Current form has us with one win and two draws in the last 5. Replicate that over the remaining games and we'll finish on 33 points. Not enough. Can't see us getting out of it myself but a win tomorrow might just get the optimistic juices flowing. Anything less than 3 points will probably not be enough - unless the plan is to win against Man City instead of course.
  14. Other games will start to become fairly academic if Saints don't pick up 3 points tomorrow.
  15. Five wins out of ten games is required to be sure of avoiding the drop. Can anyone remember the last time Saints displayed that sort of form? Pandemic in front of empty stadiums is my guess. Get a win at West Ham and I'll start to hope again. Anything else and you'd better pray for nun pics.
  16. Thought I might tune in to watch Scotland this afternoon but it's on something called Viaplay where they want yet another bloody subscription. Well sod that. I'll clean the lawnmower instead.
  17. Feel free to support and hope. I'll be doing the same but it's like wanting the Loch Ness Monster to pop his head out of your pond. Ain't gonna happen.
  18. Sorry folks but it ain't enough.
  19. "Pass Back To The Future".
  20. I've been asking this question for years now. Having the whole team in the penalty area defending a corner just invites more pressure. Leaving someone upfield as an outlet just doesn't seem to be the Saints way any more for some reason.
  21. Probably need to win about half the remaining games now but if we can't score I just don't see how that's possible. My advice would be to accept the inevitable and the sooner it now happens the better.
  22. Saints home form if beyond dreadful. Has been for quite a while if we're honest. The players hardly see St Mary's from one week to the next so it's no wonder they don't treat it like home. Maybe a few training sessions at St Mary's might help the clueless sods to get to know the place.
  23. This season's home strip has surrender written all over it as well. Relegation now a nailed on certainty on this form.
  24. Have just arrived home and discovered the score. Exactly what I feared. Can we knock St Mary's down now?
