We were getting to grips with the game in the 2nd half. Ok so we weren't creating much (as usual) but Saints were looking comfortable. But who wasn't waiting for the massive screw up that would hand a goal to Cardiff? So damn predictable. Also predictable that we wouldn't get an equaliser. Ralph certainly has his work cut out.

And there it is.

Looking calmer and more in control 2nd half. Just wondering when Cardiff will get their breakaway winner.

Average at best. Defensively as poor as any other combination tried so far. Once again I don't think we look fit enough. Cardiff will probably target Valery for a 2nd yellow. I'd be thinking of replacing him. His time will come.

I suspect the new man in charge will have already noticed that fitness levels, both physical & mental, are not good enough to survive at Premiership level. If he can do something about that then we might stand a chance of surviving this campaign.

If the new management can do something to stop the steady stream of leaking goals then maybe Saints will stay up. On current form, no chance.

Our attacking build up is just soooooo slooooow. Is there any team that passes the ball backwards as much?

What the hell was Hoedt doing there. Another screw up.

No pace in the team at all.

I was going to say unbelievable but it's actually all too believable.

Saints screw up. Controlling the game and then just stop playing for some reason. Seen it so many times.

Clueless in attack and brainlessly give the ball away on the edge of their penalty area before conceding a 6th. Shambolic.

We've actually had some reasonable chances but as usual they get missed.

Or in defence.

We have no pace at all in attack.

I'm still trying to fathom what role JWP was trying to perform during that first 45 minutes. It would have been tempting to sub him inside 30 minutes.

Defensively we're an uncoordinated panicking shambles. Lucky it's only 4.

We are allowed to makes tackles are we? Shambles.

Whenever there's a sight of goal it's like the players heads just scramble and a sort of panic-strewn desperation takes over.

Positive note - didn't lose. Negative - five games and no goals.

The lack of pace when Saints attack is not helping.

Newcastle managing to look even worse than Saints. They're so bad that you just know they're going to sneak a late 0-1 win.
