This sort of performance from Saints just makes me even more annoyed that they don't turn up against teams at Friendly To Opponents St Mary's.
-
Has Selles looked at the league table?
-
If Newcastle are looking to pick up one or two Saints players at the end of the season maybe they'll go easy on them to avoid them getting injured. 😇 That's if any players looking for a move haven't already declared themselves unfit or tired or sick of course.

Promoted in second place just behind Reading who could now well be dropping down to the 3rd tier.
-
It really is amazing how Saints haven't been cut totally adrift yet. I await those that will remind us that 4 wins out of five will easily save our souls.
-
Certainly looks that way. Only the small clubs get points deducted.

I find myself looking at the Championship table rather than the lower reaches of the EPL all of a sudden. Welcome to next season.
-
I'm fully expecting AA to be shipped off elsewhere in the Championship next season where he'll start scoring for fun. Who can doubt that he'll then rock up at Friendly To Opponents St Mary's and claim a hat-trick.

If anyone had scored against Bournemouth you can guarantee that Selles would be dropping them for this game. But nobody did score although Adams did have the ball in the net so presumably he'll be on the bench for this one. The B team have acquired a winning mentality so some of them should be knocking at the door, although not for this game. Could be a case of PTSD after the expected mauling up at Newcastle. Could do worse than just picking names from a hat to be honest. Get Jones back to do the honours for a bit of a laugh.

Adams scored with a header against Bournemouth back in the distant days when Saints weren't bottom. Yet.
-
Some good news at least then.
-
"Che Adams is as good as any striker in the air". Selles must have been dozing when Adams failed to score with his head unchallenged from about a foot against Wolves. That statement is just so daft.

Saints actually seem to be getting worse. In fact I'm struggling to think of any player that has improved during their time at Saints. Anybody arriving with any talent or flair seems to have it knocked out of them. Players arrive with a history of goalscoring only to find that they become nervous and incompetent wrecks in front of goal - that's if they even get picked to actually play - in a team that has long had a problem finding the net. Under the current regime the likes of Davies, Osgood, Lambert and Pelle wouldn't get a look in. Le Tissier would most certainly be banished to the sidelines because he doesn't do enough without the ball. Something is seriously wrong at Saints. The playbook, if there really is one (and I'm struggling to see any evidence for it), needs ripping up and flushing down the sewer. At least we can now abandon any hope for this miserable season. The plan for next season needs to be put in place right now.

Presumably even the optimists must be hearing the fat lady's warbling by now.
-
At least we saw that 2005 Saints team scoring some goals. Only problem was that they seemed to think that games lasted only 85 minutes that season.
-
Selles has been a bad egg at this club all season. The stink has permeated every corner. A deep clean is required.
-
I think I'd welcome Nathan Jones back for a bit of a laugh in these last few games. At least he might have a fight with one or two of those clowns.
-
Franny on TV struggling to hold on to his emotions. He must be angry with that lot.
-
Crap stadium. Crap strip. Crap players. Crap managers. Crap everything.
-
Just sack Selles now. The man hasn't got a clue.
-
It's not as if Bournemouth have really had to break a sweat. Just workmanlike does the job at St Mary's. Yet another defeat by one goal. All too easy for opponents at that crap stadium.
-
Not that I care about VAR but why didn't they measure the position of the defenders armpit rather than his foot?
-
Doesn't matter anyway.

Offside.
