  1. Saints players easily beaten off the ball. Men against boys stuff.
  2. Going to be a lot of injury time to suffer as well. Maybe the ref will do us a favour.
  3. Even my stream is going backwards.
  4. And Saints are still fannying around with the ball in their own half. This is hopeless.
  5. Complete lack of any urgency. Will someone please show Selles the league table?
  6. Hilarious defending.
  7. More missed chances tells us the story of Saints' season. If this game goes to form Palace will score a late winner, probably with 10 men.
  8. Palace there for the taking which probably means they'll get a late winner.
  9. This is a "must win" game isn't it? Saints playing like it's a friendly.
  10. Another good chance goes begging.
  11. Fairly easy chance missed. Story of the season.
  12. Selles going for a point then.
  13. I'm just about at the stage where I don't give a toss any more. A win just delays the inevitable while allowing the optimistic among us to feel that twinge of hope. A hefty defeat would finally kill off that hope and put us out our misery. So I'm expecting the worst of all worlds where Saints take an early lead before conceding a late own goal equaliser after waves of Palace attacks.
  14. Neither did Rickie Lambert - until he got there. Proven goal scorers at EPL level do not come cheap. Most are well out of Saints' reach.
  15. I don't have enough evidence to decide whether or not Onuachu is the right sort of player for Saints basically because he's hardly been played. Yes, he's a big chap but that doesn't necessarily mean endless hoofball any more than City playing that way when that other big lump Haaland is lurking in the penalty area. Many fans are just desperate to see some goals and they see an expensive CF with a history of goals sitting on the bench while Saints continue to fire blanks. One thing for sure is that Saints are currently surrendering their EPL status without a fight. That's what really hurts.
  16. The manager isn't looking at the league table apparently. It seems he wants to carry on as we are with a defensive mindset where Saints get a moral victory of sorts despite once again losing by the odd goal. Just as long as Pep and his cohorts think we're in a false position eh? We'll get more of the narrow sideways/backwards bollocks that got us into this position and will be lucky to scrape 30 points for the season. The Saints Way ain't working. Let's try scoring some goals for a change.
  17. Funny old game. Now 1-5. Let's hope Saints get the Palace of the first 44 minutes rather than the 2nd half version.
  18. Saints would be advised to try and stop those Palace crosses coming in next week. Let's hope Roy's boys start to think they're on the beach.
  19. Palace concede to a header from an actual centre forward. Any lessons to be learned for next week?
  20. Saints might pass Luton Town on the way down. Wonder if there's any lessons that could be learned from them. 😁
  21. Selles is just Ralph 2.0. All three managers have been consistent in instilling a losing mentality at Saints. It'll require somebody and something different in the Championship.
  22. We've only been losing the "mustn't lose" games against our rivals up until now. We'll now be playing for a draw (and failing) in real "must win" games until relegation is confirmed. After that Saints can really cut loose.
  23. If Saints had Haaland in the squad I'm pretty sure that Selles would only use him as a bench-warmer. Centre forwards are so much history don't ya know? Or something.
  24. Undoubtedly not but what do they say about doing the same thing time after time and expecting something different?
  25. True but it's what will relegate us.
