If you google Ennis medal ceremony there is a link to a badly done YouTube clip. The chap obviously videoed his tv and you can hear his click ticking but you get the general idea. That just moments after Mo doing his Mobot , coupled with us all being up since 4am was just too much for us. For the 4 of us it cost us £600 for the 4 hours of sport plus £100 for train and same again at least for food drink and merch. Worth every single penny and I am so glad we were a part of it. Still tingling today.

Oh and hearing 80,000 people sing the national anthem that loud was rather, moving. Can't remember seeing anolympics before where the crowd sings the anthem

Just woke up after our Olympic day out yesterday. Me and the family went o the morning athletics , it was absolutely amazing. Never been to live athletics before but the atmosphere was rocking even at 10am. We were about 20 yards from the long jump pit. Amazed how close to the action we felt. All of it, from the volunteers hi fiving the child's on the way in to the immense experience of even being in the park let alone the arena was a humbling and deeply moving experience. We have good reason to be proud as a nation , not just because of our inspirational youngsters in the events but everyone involved on putting this on. One of the best days of my life

Frankie Boyle tweeted a few days ago 'I would eat Victoria Pendletons saddle' And so would I

Me too mate I will be there as well - sadly the forecast is pretty grim at the moment although a wet Jess does have some appeal

Fair play to getting 20 medals to Phelps but IMO he isn't the 'greatest' Olympian ever

The coverage the BBC are offering over all formats is absolutely excellent

Who Is The Worst Company you Have Had The Misfortune To Have To Deal With
sussexsaint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
Talk talk - chuffing awful company - just before christmas the gas people cut through our wire and it took talk talk 4 weeks to believe us and get it sorted - to a man they were awful - we left straight after and have been pretty happy with sky so far -
They didn't get the lane they should have and that would have been the 0.2s difference - its a big deal for them as you can imagine - however that was one of the best races I've ever seen Looking good in Judo and shooting at the moment as well Then the main event - as Frankie Boyle tweeted a few days ago ' I would eat Victoria Pendletons saddle ' nom

Sorry - been rather distracted by the olympics - what happened to Kanu? why he no mention?

Well I know I was one of the ones who was really looking forward to it before but I have been blown away by everything so far. The level of support is just stunning. I have spoken to many people who have been. A mate of mine's daughter was an international ping pong player and he travelled all around the world with her - she took him a couple of days ago as a thank you and he said he had never seen anything like it - wasn't even a GB match but the noise was astonishing. Rather got to me yesterday to hear the crowd belting out the anthem when the girls got the Gold have to say. Our olympic adventure starts on Saturday , taking the family to the athletics So... has anyone changed their opinion? anyone opreviously cynical and pleasantly surprised?
