    Wigan Build Up

Completely agree on every word you say here. I do think its the silent minority of fans who bleat on about transfers, the club don't know what they are doing etc. Will be a tough game for sure, Wigan finished the end of last season really strong, and did well against Chelsea the other day, despite going 2-0 down quick. They will be good down the flanks, will be a busy day for Fox and Clyne. That said, im an in a good mood,,,, Win by two goals.
  3. That a challenge. You're on.
  4. Had this song in my head for days now...Gaston from Beauty and the beast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK3x2DOoJIc No one's slick as Gaston No one's quick as Gaston No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston's For there's no man in town half as manly Perfect, a pure paragon! You can ask any Tom, **** or Stanley And they'll tell you whose team they prefer to be on Lefou and Chorus: No one's been like Gaston A king pin like Gaston LeFou: No one's got a swell cleft in his chin like Gaston Gaston: As a specimen, yes, I'm intimidating! Lefou and Chorus: My what a guy, that Gaston!
  5. For the record I think both are generalisations. Berbatov is not at all lazy, his last proper season at Man U before Ferg dumped him he was working his socks off. Also Carroll is good technically, good heading/touch/control but I think his decision making lets down his play.
  6. Kinda agree. I don't know why clubs don't have a match day kit, with sponsor on front and then a kit for sale to fans with no sponsor. I think they would sell more kits and still get money for the tv advertising and match day advertising.
  7. If all of that is true we should def look at him. He did well at Euros in a poor performing Dutch side. We are maybe right now as aluring club as villa, as southampton is a nicer place to live too than brum (and i live in brum!).
  8. And I think he was the first player to score a goal in all top 4 leagues for the same team (blackpool)... i might be wrong there though.
  9. And so it begins!!!....... The euros is always a killer, most of the names people have mentioned may be new to some people on here but they are well kown to football pros. Dzageov for example is very highly rated, paid more now than we ever could and top clubs keep looking at him, just because you have not heard of him before today does not mean he would join us.
  10. Reported in the daily mail as well.
  11. Agreed on both points. It was great to see them all getting on and they are basically just great lads. Corks pics of his burnt table yesterday were good too. I hope Adam comes back,,,, twitter can be bad news for a lot of reasons but also can be great if used properly.
  12. Oh yeah, for those who doubt his quality (worse than Rhodes,,, ha!) ,, he came second only to Muller for young player at world cup 2010. He was quality in that tournament. Fore whatever reason 'arry does not like him. For me thats good enough to bring him in! Any one who arry does not like, he has no judgement in players at all, just look at Darren Bent.
  13. God I hope we get him. Quality player. I mentioned him on the HCDAGJFU thread a while ago. I think if we could only sign one player (in our capabilities) this year, it would be him.
  14. Drogba on a free after this game... HCDAGJFU?
  15. This just happened.... Matt Le Tissier @themichaelowen maybe the warmer south coast should be your next destination mate better for your muscles :-) michael owen @mattletiss7 Open to offers!!!
  16. He is younger than Rickie and who tells you we are only signing young players. I would take Xavi any day of the week. And you dont know how hungry Yakubu is, maybe he really wants to play and win things. ... that said I don't want him.
  17. I think we need a decent solid attacking midfielder and not one has been mentioned. I would be very happy with Jarvis or Phillips, Davies, Pienaar, etc, most of the names mentioned but no one yet has mentioned a decent attacking central midfielder.
  18. Ok , before anyone snaps at me, these are outsiders and ones maybe outta our reach but worth a look I think. Gyan ? Obviously a quality striker, and fell out with someone at Sunderland, wages would be a big issue, but price within our budget and would be a 10-15 goals player, worth the money I think. If he would come. Kyrgiakos, never settled at wolfsberg, prem experience, maybe a bit old (32) but decent centreback with experience. Paul Scharner - On a free from west brom - def a good prem player. solid. Again wages could be an issue, ment to be on a bit at WBA but then that is why they are letting him go. Pienaar - Everton dont have the money- tottenham dont want him. Dos Santos - A really good player just not liked by redknapp - plays for mexico and is quality. Holden and Lee from Bolton if they do down.
  19. Agreed, I think I mentioned him earlier this thread. But would prefer Phillips Personally I would love to see Trippier and Phillips (these def!). Both young, want to improve.

    Dave Jones

Congrats to Dave Jones, nice bloke and I think he can take Sheff Wed to the Prem.
  21. Maxi Rodriguez? Has anyone seen him play a lot? When ever he does play for liverpool he tends to score and do well, whats the catch, as I have not seen him a lot.

    Matt Jarvis

Wolves is in the black country, brummie accent is different. Black country is def an aquired taste.
  23. Up to the Carling Premier League (Sponsored by Budweiser!)
  24. Jerome Thomas from West Brom, one of the most under-rated players in the prem in my opinion. Davis from Blues and a right wing,,, jarvis would be nice, but maybe out of our reach.
