  1. I made the rookie error of looking forward to this game
  2. May provoke a bit more effort in the transfer window?
  3. It has, we have nothing going forward now and are vulnerable at the back
  4. 30 minutes more of wolves throwing themselves on the ground after every challenge
  5. The thing that is really bugging me lately is his pretence of contending 50/50 balls and then subtly backing off to avoid contact.
  6. Redmond has returned to type and is completely ineffective
  7. Was it a cock up? I don’t think he did much wrong
  8. You’d think so if the clear and obvious error still applies
  9. I agree, he really doesn't deserve the crap he gets, heart of a lion.
  10. I still have PTSD from losing 3-2 in 1977. It was my first full season supporting Saints and |I was totally convinced we could not lose at home, just as we could not win away. I was behind the goal in the Milton when some curly headed Coventry striker named Wallace got at least two goals. I left the ground feeling like someone had died, choking back the tears. A feeling not experienced again until we were relegated at SMS.
  11. A few cocky comments on there, a few years ago the gap was much smaller between prem and the championship but now, even the poorer prem sides are way ahead of the championship, I think some are seriously underestimating us.
  12. I didn’t realise how famous he was, I’m inundated with emails about Willy extensions
  13. Just from the January window thread. I don't do Twitter. I presumed it had come from the new regime.
  14. Talk of a "statement signing" which i interpret as a big name
  15. “Yeah, I think in the short term not much change,” Semmens told BBC Radio Solent, when asked what Sport Republic’s acquisition means for Hasenhuttl’s future. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19824924.southampton-takeover-mean-ralph-hasenhuttl/ I think the report may have been toned down a bit since I first read it a couple of days ago. Of course I may have got the wrong end of the stick.
  16. I just read the Echo article, I thought the comments re Ralph's future were very non - committal
  17. That is true of this forum, however he is yet to achieve the status of the legendary Jankowitz.
  18. I'm surprised there hasn't been more chatter about Ralphs future since the takeover. My perception from the comments made on the day of the announcement is that he doesn't have too much of a future here. I definitely don't see him managing "big name" signings if that is the intention of the new regime.
  19. It would be Ironic as his recent goals and assists have all but secured our premier league survival, who knows if the takeover would have happened had we been in a more precarious position?
  20. I heard he peeked down a ladies blouse once, I think he needs to apologies to all of womankind, just like I had to.
  21. That's worrying, having fought of Gao's attempt to colonise Southampton and turn it into a Chinese state owned super port, we now have to deal with an owner who wishes to depose our Monarchy.
  22. I'd be happy with that, but I'm not sure you would categorise that as a statement signing, I tend to think of household names, such as Eriksen, as mentioned above..
  23. I'd say service to the strikers is more of an issue, we seem to have to score out of nothing. Someone in the mould of Jared Bowen would make a huge difference to us, Redmond and Djneppo just don't cut it for me at this level.
  24. Valery has had personal issues, maybe Shane has helped and mentored him on a personal level?
  25. I’m getting used to really not enjoying it, or anything about it.
