I didn’t see the note, but I clearly saw AA’s WTF! moment
-
I just meant managers earn a phenomenal amount of money by most peoples standards, not that we’d pay someone exceptional money for a short term gig. A few weeks of being a premier league manager would set me nicely on my way.
-
Nevertheless I’d like to see an experienced manager have a go. The players are probably as ground down as we are having been managed by a succession of buffoons, deploying hopeless selections, formations and tactics.
-
Too late, hard drive is corrupted. Fatal error(s)
-
I’m going, seemed like a good idea at the time! Predicting nothing, expecting nothing other than a city break to somewhere I’d like to see.
-
Why not, relegation is a certainty. There is bound to be someone who feels they have been forgotten about, or fancies a challenge, there is potentially a long term gig if they do ok. And let’s not forget the phenomenal money they would earn, a small fortune by most of our standards in very short time.
-
I disagree, there are several scenarios where it could be an attractive opportunity for someone.
-
I think plenty of managers would take over. Taking over a basket case like us isn’t going to reflect badly on anyone, as there is zero expectation of survival now. A nice little earner, a chance to raise their profile should the slow the decline and god forbid be competitive in games. Get him out now, stuff his feelings or whether or not he is a “nice bloke”. He’s an absolute disaster. I wouldn’t worry about the compensation either, it’s chicken shit in the grand scheme of things.

Not a trick question, I can think of plenty of things we do, or have done, really poorly, too many to list. But can anyone think of anything that we do well, possibly things that other clubs may try to emulate. As an example, at one time we had an academy which was hailed by all in the game.
-
I've always held that belief.
-
I'd like it to happen, even if the chance of survival has passed a positive managerial change would probably improve the morale around the club and us defeated fans. We don't want to go into next season, in whichever league, on this sharp downward trajectory, IMO.
-
I had a whatsapp earlier and misread it, I thought he'd been sacked, now having read it properly he hasn't. My relief was short lived.
-
Funnily I said to my daughter last night that the absolutely useless Adam Armstrong would never have to work again, even if he stopped playing tomorrow, just for having spent a couple of years in the PL.
-
I accept he has his limitations, he isn't KDB, but we are shitty Saints, not Man City. I just find it strange that of all the limited players we have, and the ones that don't give a crap, and amongst all the other failings of our club, that he gets singled out for criticism, extremely harsh in my view.

*I think that is the role JWP has been given. When JWP played for England and there were eager runners everywhere he didn't have a problem playing forward. **Lavia has only been here one season (his one and only)
-
More likely he was subbed because JWP gave him a blast at half time for hist total and utter incompetence in blindly steering us to the championship,
-
Yes he did, but also he is playing under strict instructions from an extremely negative “manager”. Ironically he was better under Jones playing further forward. He’ll do well elsewhere where they play to his strengths. Can you imagine what it is like for a player of his calibre playing in our “system” with players like Elyonoussi and god knows who around him? What does he think when he sees the team sheet and tactics board or whatever they use? We only have to watch it, he has to try to make it happen.
-
So, what’s the story morning glory? No show for second half? Followed by unfathomable tactical change to 3 at the back? 5 at the back? No one at the back? Headless chickens at the back ??? Elyonoussi at the back (see also headless chickens). I’ve never seen such a shamozzle.

Piss off you incompetent chancer

I thought about starting a thread to this effect, what do Southampton football club do well? I struggled to think of anything. Can think of lots of things we do exceptionally poorly, on and off the field, but nothing we do well.
-
I actually did that, but I ticked the No publicity box l, and now no one will believe me! BTW, tonight is the beginning of a three game winning streak, then all of you negative ninnies will feel very silly!
-
The rot started with Doris, if that particular monster had been culled when small we’d probably be the champions league now. Bloody Doris, it’s always the 1 percenters that let you down!
-
Can we cremate Rasmus at the same time?
-
Rasmasus’s bullshit must be wearing thin with Dragan by now. So Rasmus for me, also can’t see a place for Semmens

We are going to pool resources with Goztepe in the interests of financial efficiencies.
