That’s exactly how I saw it, so I am reserving judgment on him. His performance reminded me of the first game of football having not kicked a ball all summer holidays with your legs just not doing what you wanted them to do. It makes the decision to start him even more bizarre. I hope he doesn’t become the new whipping boy based on his first appearance.

I don’t think it’s confidence with him, I think he’s shockingly lackadaisical

A bit of a rollercoaster of a day, I will be pleased when the window shuts. I'm not sure how Saints play out today with the remaining prized assets, Che, KWP and potentially Sulemanna, or anyone else who maybe off that we haven't so far heard anything about. Bit of an awkward one, how do you replace players you aren't certain are going to leave? What keeps me going is I have absolute faith in our new regime, they seem to have a very clear and coordinated strategy, I haven't felt like this in a long time, unless you call buying to flip a strategy.

I got this. everyone we are potentially signing is underwhelming/ shit / disabled. everyone we are potentially letting go is the next Haaland / Messi / Pepe. Except for the ones who are actually good who are redefined in the terms used for anyone we are potentially signing.

It is a gamble, but I’m taking the view that if he was fit and firing on all cylinders we wouldn’t be getting a sniff. Therefore a worthwhile gamble. Having said that I’d prefer to keep Che.

If no one else left and Che is replaced by Stewart I’d be reasonably happy with the window.

Maybe it’s not, maybe they have plugged the leaks and we won’t hear anything now until the deals have been done.
