I think I'd much rather be punched in the back than in the face.. It was probably a better option for the lad the hit him because you can punch someone in the back much more subtly than a full blown smack in the face.

There was also a row of empty seats at the bottom around block 2/3. Again, which was 'sold out' on the ticketing website.

Where was it said that he was punched in the head? I'm pretty sure it was said he was punched in the back..

There were plenty of seats free at the back of block 3 that could be stood in that you could go and stand in if you fancied it, or you could squeeze in somewhere in block 1 or 2. My other gripe about the Itchen North.. In the past when it's been open for big games then most of blocks 1/2 stand, well over half. Now it's only the back few rows. Must just be down to newcomers that didn't know what that part of the ground was about? Annoying really.

He seems to be very poor at his near post. His distribution has always been his weakness even since we were in League One. I had presumed we'd sign a keeper over the summer that would be first choice. I'll give him a bit more time though. Looked like he could have got a hand to Van Persie's header on MOTD.. Possibly?

United's support was the worst I've seen it at our place before. From the Itchen I could hear the Northam over United when both sets were singing. Itchen North was half decent today, don't know why most people want to sit down though. The club have strategically placed these 'complimentary' tickets in block 3 to stop that section standing I think.

Glad we either grassed on them to get them kicked out or gave them a good kicking. Either will do but preferably the 2nd option.

What was up with the empty seats in the Itchen? Yet again.. Why do the club advertise it as a f*cking sell out? Secondly, regardless of how well we played, it was obvious we were sitting deeper and deeper as the second half went on and invited them on. No professional club should concede two late goals like that if they defended properly. Awful.

Ironic really, when other clubs sing Play Up Pompey we take the **** and clap them sarcastically. Yet we sing Liverpool songs to United and sing Bubbles when we play Millwall. Bit weird. I remember at Coventry last season when they sung Play Up Pompey and we sung "Who the f*ck do you support?" Back to them. That was quite clever for us!

I didn't really expect it to happen when it was first announced that we were interested.. Thought he would be far too good for us. So what?

United hear sh*t songs about being from Surrey, supporting local teams etc etc every week. We'll sing "We support our local team" and they will reply with "You support a load of ****e" and we will be quiet again. Why don't we sing Saints songs rather than songs about their supposed glory hunting away fans (which they're not, you can hear the thick Manc accent in their songs..) and songs about Liverpool designed to wind them up.

I'm getting that n'all.
