Agree.

In an ideal world yes I want everyone to be a die hard Saints fan. But if the club is to expand that isn't going to happen is it ? From a business perspective it makes sense.
-
Of course I want ours to be 100% our fans. But I have nothing wrong with other fans saying that the business should be looking into ways of getting more fans. If we had a bigger stadium, then we would have to get new fans to fill it up. And going back to rating players on potential....all I said was that Adam Johnson has played 9 more games than Ramirez yet only has 1 more assist...It's a bit retarded to say that Johnson is a better player and cheaper when he's on a bigger wage and cost the same, yet Gaston has contributed PER MINUTE that he has been on the pitch? Is that not a fact ?

Putting words in my mouth there.

They were epic weren't they.

I'm starting to give up with you an your total incompetence.

Or you're just trying to have another dig at people who have said previously that there are other potential markets to explore...
-
What's wrong with people bringing up potential markets to tap into? That's what all good businesses do? I don't agree that we'll suddenly be able to recruit 10k more fans but have no problem with the fans who are suggesting potential growth.

I've never said we won't? We'll probably go down to an average of 25/6k if we do. Atleast our fans support Southampton though rather than readings who 50% of their fan base are neutrals

Reading will go back to having 4000 away fans and attendances of 18k again next year.

In his little argumentative world yes probably, but only because everyone else thinks it's ridiculous -
Thought we weren't getting the rugby game?!

St Mary's is about right for us at the moment. If we do move up the table and are challenging regularly for a top half spot then maybe we'll expand it, but until then we'll just have empty seats everywhere.

NZonzi...very odd. I haven't seen much of him, but can't imagine he sees much of the ball in midfield playing for stoke. -

£120k. And no, surprisingly he's not mates with Jay Rodriguez as well as Andrew Davies. -

It was rumoured all along that we wanted a 'marquee' attacking signing. That signing was Gaston. Has he been worth £12m for what he has contributed so far ? No probably not, but he may well do. You take that transfer fee away and the rest of our players were all done on the cheap. Although J-Rod's transfer fee was inflated I bet his wages are relatively low. I also doubt his fee was £6m straight up, it'll all be related with add ons anyway. I've always said we could have done better with what we spent but I also think we could have done much worse. -

Pretty much comes down to opinions though doesn't it....If you think Gaston and J-Rod will be failures and we will lose money on what we paid for them then the are a bad piece of business. If you think they'll get better with time and contribute a lot to us over the next few years (whether that is transfer fee or performances on the pitch) they're a success. Just think writing them off so early into their Saints career is massively premature. Morgan is a great example, shown glimpses of quality when he arrived and has grown into it and now by far our best player.
