Such an important player for us and this is as big a coup as Lallana signing when we were in L1. If him, Cork, Shaw and Clyne are all still here in 5 years time, I believe we'll be a team in Europe.
@SouthamptonFC: Southampton are glad to announce that Morgan Schneiderlin has this evening signed a new long-term contract. #saintsfc http://t.co/kainSRnof8
That rule of sending off when denying a goal scoring opportunity is a joke. If a pen is given then they still get the goalscoring opportunity. So why the need to send him off as well?!
I completely agree. It's almost snowballed and is now our scapegoat. Its ridiculous really, and I've seen a few comments saying he was average last season as well. He was very important to us last year, and probably one of the best LB's in the league. He's just not stepped up to the prem like many of our other players.
Makes it an incredibly strange buy though. If he knew it would take this long to get him fit, 1. Why isn't he playing in the u21's? He said that he might figure in the Man Utd away game a while ago. 2. Why didn't we just wait until the summer to sign him.
He has been decent in all the other games hes played recently and was MOM vs Man City - didn't give Dzeko a sniff. Ok, he was shocking at the start of the season, and wasn't great yesterday, but he wasn't awful. You can hardly blame him for the OG!
I've changed my mind with Lallana a few times this season. At the very start I thought he was poor. Then he improved and covered Shaw a lot more than he did with Fox. He was poor on Saturday until he went more centrally. Fine when we're attacking a lot of the time. but struggles against physical sides and his decision making is poor.
Why would we change both centre backs in such an important game?! Not going to happen. Plus Yoshi has been our best CB for the majority of this season, certainly doesnt deserve to be dropped.
Surely I wasnt the only person to notice that they almost seemed to play us at our own game at times. They gave us very little time on the ball and so we looked a bit aimless at times.
@SouthamptonFC: Defender Aaron Martin has joined npower League 1 side @Coventry_City on loan until the end of the season: http://t.co/mCHMz9og7I #saintsfc
Lets hope he is playing every week there. More his level.
