  7. I quite like the fact that Nigel has bigged up the FA Cup, even if it is patently obvious that Nicola do es not want us 'wasting' time and effort on a futile exercise where if we are honest with ourselves, we know that 4th maybe 5th round is about our limit right now. Though it pains me to admit it, I too would prefer to meet the big guns sooner rather than later IN THE LEAGUE. Maybe then we can resurect our reputationof being a decent cup team. NA's comments will appease the fans much better than the 'too little too late' revealations re the JPT and NC's fall out with AP. I think he is learning a bit about good customer relations and I for one can see a new era dawning where he (NC) makes better use of phsychology. I think it is Dubai Phil who often refers to that book about the Japanese warlord and his book abou how to win wars. Maybe there's a new edition out in Italian!!!

/\ As you are being open here, there is one very very important question that I think you should ask yourself; do you love this girl? Special people don't come around that often Colin and far be it for me to give you advice, professional or relationship-wise, you are at one of life's crossroads and it sounds to me as though you need to do a bit of soul searching. btw, it's an old overused adage, but you won;t find a gravestone that reads "I wish I'd spent more time on my career". We met many moons ago and I always remeber you as a really decent bloke, far more mature than your years, even back then I could tell that you had your head screwed on. Good luck. Who will you be rooting for tomorrow, The Gills or The Whites?

  11. I have a friend who is rebuilding an old classic car and has hit a problem. Can't remember off the top of my head what car it is, iirc it's french or italian. Anyway, he needs to find a supplier of bespoke pistong rings before he can put the engine back together, he has the original worn ones but doesn't want to risk re-using them. Also any recomendations for a proper craftsman leather upholsterer would be appreciaated. Cheers very much in advance, I told him that someone on here always knows the answer when it comes to all things automobile. hamster

"If only I'd stopped in Cov and married that cute girl from Herfeord"? Sounds like you aren't 100% commited to either the job nor the girl. Ask her to marry you, ask her right now. If she declines then get your arse up there in time for hogmannay, just make sure that you can flybe it back regularly for matches. Colin, how did you feel about leaving Margate? Do you ever regret it? Serious question, not a dig at Margate (for once).
  13. I used to date a girl wgo's dad drank in the web, owned a gert big digger thing, him not her. Do the old geezers still play doms?
  14. /\ after seeing your golfing fashion faux pas, the above does not surprise me one little bit. Just don;t let Turkish hear about it...you will be banished
  15. Channel - first man to swim it.
  16. Damnit, what channel was it on? Were their fans very vocal? Would love to get them down here in the next round.
  17. Just trying to boost his confidence. Hah, fraid not, passed 1st time after a 1 hour test. I must havce been quite a good driver back then, fraid it's been all downhill since though.
  18. I managed £32 return using raileasy, arrive 12:44 leave after game 18:23 https://directrail.raileasy.co.uk/go/home/?content=fare.default2main
  19. I'd like to see Chappers lay the ball off for Morgan a bit more cosistently then turn and run at the defence or pull the odd defender out wide leaving some room for Morgan to take the ball up and try a few more of his distance shots, it seems to have worked well for the france lads.
  20. leftback, i think I know who you be, do you like cryptic crosswords, broken (and partial) anagrams for example? I really don;t think that you are MD, but if so where's my case of wine that you promised, mrs h is starting to sober up and it is worrying me. fwiw, ...............................
  21. Hope that reading this thread doesn't hurt Nigel's fillings, I wonder what his flossophy on puns is? I suppose the pain of a hard day at the orifice can be quite fulfilling and make his tenure more pallateable. The Shrews fans reckon that if we play a weakened side it mat get fairy interesting but I reckon they'll get their gum-uppance. TFIC
  22. Are Uggs not bad for one's feet? Can't help noticing that they usually vear inwardly.

  24. Italian stylee, and no names on the back of their replica shirts I hope. Do you not think that this season the slower version of OWTSGMI has started to really catch on? It'll never be like the Dell but it gathers volume nicely at times and imho sounds good. Admittedly it always ends up with the fast echo version but also has the slightly up tempo middel bit which in a way adds to it being OUR song I feel.
  25. Are we focussing on the cup then this time around? According to NA on the OS he usually aimed to get to the 3rd round at least with Scunny.
