Over the last few weeks i have rediscovered my natural bent for the mental game, it's not all about having the ball at your feet is it. a few weeks back I was trying to impress those youngsters be trying to run and chase their (to be perfectly honest) crap passes and speculative shots. Just ask the residents in Passfield Avenue. I sustained injuriy after injury and pulled more muscles than a Glenn Tilbrook. I think none would argue that my positional play and 'hold and give' play was quite impressive. I tracked back, I supported the attack and generally ran the show. I even kept my eyes open when I headed the ball. Gaffer, whatever happens next week, I will give 100% and if you don't carry me off on your shoulders I will get caried off on a stretcher.
