Going by the amount of smoke in the away area it appears to have landed there first and been 'returned' there are a few vids on youtube that look like saints threw it, but other people reckon a Burnley fan saw a Pompey fan throw it. Guess we'll never know f'sure??

assuming that new owners only buy the football club, what would people like or expect the staium to be called? Although I like 'St Mary's Stadium' and bearing in mind that all four stands have their names well established, I think the 'Ted Bates Stadium' would be nice, after all, his name and image epitomise (sp) all that is great and good about our club and city. His spirit is the 'Spirit of Southampton' that people speak of imho. Thoughts?

If we do cease to be, would you back a fan founded club formed in it's wake?

If the council owned the stadium I think it would make a massive difference to it being seen as part of our community. They could even re-name it. -

What numbers would be needed to play home games at St Mary's Colin? I think that would be the clincher for many as it is our 'home'. -
As money is going to be tight, is it possible that new owners will want to take over AFTER the final game, thus saving them a few grand in payments to loanees and out of contract players. Or is that what these CVA things are all about? Would be nice if it is this week though, as Forest will be a massive party whataver the result.

Still very unfair and from their site info I am not sure they are sticking to their own rules let alone FL ones: "The visitors are accommodated in the Lower Tier of the Bridgford Stand. The capacity is 4,750 but this is usually reduced to about 3,000." So only giving us just over 2k they will hopefully be docked enough points to come down with us.
-
Are they allowed to do that? I thought it was 10% minimum! Programmes may be worth investing in possibly.

Good spot SW, a good way to take one's mind off what is happening up at the County Ground, link: http://www.wave105.com/Article.asp?id=1289128&spid=20605 -
If this is to be a serious plan the inaugral meeting should be somewhere 'special' in my opinion. Might I suggest the Northam club?
-
I lke that, could be our chorus for next week but will they get it?

Enjoyed it lots, cheesr lads. Still not managed to put one away, and had a few opportunities, nevermind I'll save the best for St Mary's. A few weeks ago I was worried 45 minutes would be too long for an old tubby like myself, but now I am so up for it, cheers. Can I take I take it that after next week you wrap it up for the summer? -

Goal nets aren't that dear tbh, http://search-completed.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?sofocus=so&sbrftog=1&from=R40&satitle=goal+net&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&a25563=-24&a10244=-24&pfmode=1&pfid=3672&alist=a25563%2Ca42078%2Ca10244&reqtype=1&gcs=2493&pf_query=goal+net&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D3&sadis=200&fpos=so16+3dj&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&fis=2&ga10244=10425&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=34%26fsoo%3D1 but I still don't quite get the crazed vandalism. Got a text from a mate telling me his nipper had part of the penalty spot, I phoned him back, apparently it was just a pocket full of dirt and grass by the time he got home. I called him a **** and we moved on. -
Forum Match at SMS - ticket info now on first post!

I must admit that I did venture on to get a feel for it, and noticed loads and loads of fag butts all over the bloody pitch, naughty imho! Still when I used to play, I regularly sparked up during the match once we were coasting to inevitable defeat. I saw one chap in the Itchen stand being asked to put his out, around the time that smoke bomb was being exchanged between between Saints and Burnley fans, which made me chuckle. Getting back to the condition of the pitch, I noticed that some clever **** had dug up THAT penalty spot (The 12 pointer). Thought that was a bit naughty tbh. -
Anyone else read the header as D.M.G. Noooooo? I thought it was about that penalty, but had run out of room on the main forum. Anyway, haven't we done this one a zillion times, and didn't that hypocrite Parky retire to Oz?

Just goes to show that you can't be too careful.

A similar thread got locked the other day!!!! imho after the game would possibly be okay IF WE WIN as a celebratory two fingers to Lord MyWeener.

I didn't even know that we were related! If you get there before us, save me a custard cream. Cheers Actually, I shall probably just hang around the middle of the pitch, squirting the occasional ball through the opposition defence and generally being a lazy arse. Anyone else from the Forum match home team going? We should all agree to wear the same colours, I suggest Barce shirts. Or does anyone have access to some bibs? Just off to do some training (before they close), please don't tell phil, he's a hard task master you know. Might break another of his (stupid) rules later too, just to keep my stamina up ;-) -

Only hours after saying that I had come through last week unscathed, my knee locked up and required ice packs throughout the night. It's still not 100% but if I can get back from seeing the In laws in time I will be there. My goal is to not die during the forum match, so don't expect any heroics please as I will be taking it easy. For that reason, can I mark Baj please? -
League deduct 10 Points - Will apply in L1 Next Season
hamster replied to Danny's topic in The Saints
There is worse news. Next year it's 4 down, currently to escape the drop we would need 56 points (-10) to even be in with a shout of survival. For those thinking we could bounce back in one season, if we managed 82 points (currently enough for an automatic spot) we would just about scrape into the play-offs! We are gonna get some serious **** from oppostion fans to boot. Brace yourselves people, we are gonna need every ounce of steel that we can muster. COYFR's -

Don't worry gaffer, it's a wind-up I'm sure.

"So long, and thanks for all the duck"

Reading can still get an automatic spot, and an awesome GD. They would surely rather play their hearts out now and go on their summer holidays, play-offs are a bit of a lottery anyway imo.
