It's the CM that's costing us, such a vital area and we've got Charles who has been atrocious since signing and Rothwell who is nowhere near up to speed, plus Alcaraz who might be the attacking mid but at least when Armstrong is playing there he tracks back and gets properly stuck in.

Mara and Alcaraz are barely rated at all not sure you can call them overrated.

Shea Charles has been utter wank. It's no surprise we brought Rothwell in.

Not suited to a passing style of play at all. His natural game is about running at the defence. God knows what Mara was doing there.

I'd like to hear a definitive statement from SR about what the height of their ambition is from the club. Do they aim to just keep us in the Prem, raking in that big money each season, or do they actually want to get us back into challenging for Europe again?

Well he would have signed pro terms at 17/18 so he's still over the 10 years. Trouble is he's not made a huge amount of appearances in that time so it feels a bit odd saying he should get one...but at the same time he's shown the kind of loyalty we always criticise players for not having.

I think people are talking more about improving the atmosphere a bit than it suddenly leading to us winning the champions league.

Serious question, Stephens has been at the club for 13 years now. What circumstances do people think would justify him getting a testimonial? He's 29 so could feasibly end up being at the club for 15-18 years.
