I don't get the recent (last decade really) push back against the Olympics due to cost. Lots of things that aren't necessary cost a lot of money. What a boring existence where we don't pay for anything unless it's vital to sustaining human life. I'd wager as well that the financial benefit in short and long term is far greater than the cost.

Some of you boys are so terrified of being embarrassed you're not even willing to try and get involved to improve the atmosphere. Why not buy into it, move over to the northam, get some proper chants going and bring back the culture of telling annoying dickheads to shut the fuck up.

It'll be interesting to see how we do and for that reason I think it's important we go full strength. We need to get some idea of whether or not this style of play is feasible against Prem sides with our level of resources. Getting a result would be absolutely epic in these circumstances and of course with it being the FA cup, you can't help but hope. Make no mistake all the pressure will be on them - but will they be fully focussed or will they be going all out to win the league in Klopps last season?

Bednarek is a conundrum. On the one hand he's 27, coming into prime years for a CB. On the other hand we've seen him in the Prem before and he was a liability - will he really have improved that much from one season dominating in the Championship where we have 60-70% of the ball most games and little defending to do? I'd love to think so, but my head is telling my heart we should look to upgrade if we get promoted. Maybe buy another THB style youngster to play backup for a season.

I'd rather they didn't, Stephens and Bednarek are always pants when playing RB. We play a system that relies heavily on the fullbacks being dynamic and mobile.

What I like about it most is that it actually worked. I love having a manager who knows what to say to the players to get a response from them. They're clearly on board with him to give that kind of performance after getting a bollocking rather than just saying "forget this" which players might do for a less respected manager.

Yep, he's a striker that plays his best when allowed to run off the shoulder of the last man or get across his marker for low crosses into the box. There is a quality player in there, possibly in need of a slight attitude adjustment, but i'm very glad we're giving him game time. Reminder once again that he is currently a year younger than Sadio Mane when he signed for us, for people trying to gauge his progression. He has another two years to go before he's at the same age where Mane started performing at top level for us. Not for one second saying he will hit those heights but it's all about perspective.
