Yeah I want to know exactly how many people are involved in this. I still maintain it's possible the analyst team were acting on their own and presenting information without saying where they got it from, but it's a slim chance at this point.

Releasing the photo damaged their claims a lot, they initially said he was found hiding in the bushes with a load of high tech equipment including a directional microphone, then they release that and it's clear he was stood in plain sight on a pathway with a camera phone. If he DID have all the equipment, it would make sense that they were suspicious.
