  2. It never even got to him lads. Keeper grabbed it in front of him. Armstrong should have pulled back to Scienza instead, though.
  3. That black kit with the red stripe down the side does look proper smart.
  4. You had a bus with a toilet in Egypt!? Fucking luxurious or what.
  5. I assume they travelled up yesterday? No chance they'd have taken both up today if they both had an illness still.
  6. Yeah, you'd have been stood up and applauding if he picked Ronnie Edwards in CM I'm sure of it.
  7. Well considering our squad has been hit by illness to the extent our only other CM options are Bragg or Shoehorn, which would you have preferred?
  8. Try to enjoy the win today mate.
  9. Well, I do trust Still. I know you're one of the ones that wants a new manager every 10 games but that's why I'm quite happy to dismiss anything you say outright.
  10. Alternatively it could work out to be a stroke of genius, Azaz making himself available deeper and helping to push the ball forward. Blackburn don't offer much threat.
  11. Well unless you've seen every game he and Sesay has played as well as seen them both in training, I'll assume the staff at the club have a better idea of who is ready and who isn't.
  12. Right, and changing the manager will make a leader suddenly appear out of nowhere in the team?
  13. It's worth remembering when we went down in 2005 we did nothing the first season then challenged for the playoffs the second, so it's not a guarantee you slip backwards if you don't immediately come back up. Once parachute payments stop it becomes a different matter though.
  14. McCarthy is poor, but he's still better than Bazunu. I'd much rather we signed someone else entirely but it didn't happen.
  15. Yeah, not passing the buck and taking responsibility for your own failure. Ridiculous!
  16. You're making out like I was shaking up the champagne and spraying it after the Swansea game - I wasn't. All I said is what I'm saying now, we are improving every game.
  17. I'd give him half the season at least. I don't believe he's not good enough, as I've said there are improvements being made. We bring someone else in and we start the process all over again, and presumably they only get 10 games as well.
  18. I don't know, but he deserves to be given a chance. I'm sick of modern football and managers being axed after a handful of games.
  19. Think everyone should watch this clip. Confirms to me what I've thought, that our squad is a massive rebuild job not in terms of personnel but in terms of mentality. I firmly believe Still is the man to do it
  20. The two consistent things we've been missing is a top goalkeeper and effective centre forwards. The signing of Bazunu is one of the most damaging we've ever made.
  21. They were overwhelming the midfield from the start!? After half an hour they put up the stats that only 10% of the play had occurred in the final third near our goal and we'd had 75% of possession. They played on the counter attack and it worked, fair play to them, but at no point were they overwhelming our midfield. They bypassed it.
  22. If I compare yesterday's performance (ignoring the result) to earlier in the season there is massive improvement, yes. I'm willing to give him longer term to fix the issues remaining as he is improving us. Earlier in the season we could barely string passes together to get the ball forward. The forwards, Armstrong in particular, were completely isolated because they were making the wrong kind of movements but they were heavily involved yesterday.
  23. Christ almighty 🤦🏼‍♂️ I long for the days where managers were given half a season before they were judged.
