  1. Well, that argument might make sense, but late, late goals we've conceded this season (Millwall, Stockport etc) have been away from home.
  2. 8 out of 9 penalties saved, apparently. This season and last.
  3. Maybe not physically, but Barnard holds the ball up well, can pick a pass, can score a goal from nothing and is composed taking penalties. You don't NEED height to win games - i'm sure there are plenty of teams out there who win without playing tall strikers.
  4. Not if we win, in which case i'll be out in Weymouth celebrating until 4-5 in the morning. Will be sleeping/recovering all day sunday.
  5. Sorry but I can't agree. 3 seasons in this league would be an absolute failure.
  6. Well then in that case give him two weeks off and use Barnard in his role. I still think they're too similar to play together. Unless 3 out of 4 of our midfielders are ALWAYS busting a gut to get up and support, which unfortunately they're not.
  7. As I said - you should always strive for perfection. But I don't think it is down to something that our players specifically are doing wrong. When we scored a late goal against Norwich, we didn't say "thank f*ck they don't concentrate in the last minutes", we all said "thank f*ck we kept going right to the end". Brentford kept going right to the end.
  8. This. Next season, don't give a f*ck about the cups we can go out in the first round of everything, but automatic promotion is an absolute must.
  9. We drew the Torquay and Norwich game
  10. Fair enough, so in answer to your earlier question; "Why do we let in so many late goals?" It is part of football. Next.
  11. I haven't even seen him play. But the fact that he has only been given a 6 month contract suggests to me that Pardew isn't entirely convinced that he is good enough.
  12. Yes, but I don't think he's starting to doubt his own ability. Or, indeed, that of the players.
  13. I don't understand why he should be tired - does he need more than a weeks rest? (I'm talking about when the Huddersfield game was cancelled).
  14. Antonio was fantastic for us V MK Dons and did a good job when he came on V Ipswich. If he had been dropped and Waigo had done nothing today, people would have been asking why Antonio was dropped.
  15. You should always strive for perfection, the point I was making earlier in the thread was that it happens to every team and that people should stop making out that it is ONLY US it happens to.
  16. Unfortunately, I don't think much of Ifil either I would have been happy if we'd have stuck with Thomas and James till the summer when we'd have a better chance of signing someone who could do the job properly. Then again, Otsemobor could turn out to be quality for us......
  17. I'm still not sure about the Otsemobor signing. It's clear for everyone to see that Pardew wasn't sure about him either - which makes me wonder why on earth we DID sign him.
  18. We are definitely weak at CM. Morgan and James don't perform consistently enough, Wotton is just not good enough, and Hammond IMO is only good enough for this season. He wouldn't get in Leeds or Norwichs teams.
  19. Indeed he should, prove once and for all that it isn't THAT bad.
  20. You think our form has not improved since the start of the season?
  21. Windmill has snapped... Although I think you can fully expect infractions for that.
  22. I would hope that a post like that wouldn't need smileys for people to understand it. But just in case :tfrag:
  23. Why don't you just come out and say that you don't think Pardew is doing a good job, rather than tip toeing around it.
  24. Leeds are a bigger club than us and they had a couple of months for pre-season that year.
  25. Without the -10 we would not have had such a short pre-season and would not have had such a depressing start to the season.
