  1. Whilst i'm not happy about the state of things at the moment, Uefa cannot do anything to stop it. I think the major problem we have with a European league is that big money men are now buying the smaller teams as well - OK, so Man City aren't that small, but I give it two seasons before it becomes a "Big 5". What do we do then? Put all 5 of them into a super league? What if another club, say Everton, are bought out by big money men and are regulars at the top of the table - do we take them as well? I guess the point i'm trying to make is that if we do take the top 4 out now, the Premier League will still attract massive investors - it's marketing is too strong. Eventually there will just be a new top 4.
  2. I wanted him to be guilty purely so we might find a reason to tell him to f*ck off.
  3. Post the search terms? Surely that isn't infractable (is that a word?).
  4. If they are fit then i'm all for it. You'd have something to look at when the footy is sh*t.
  5. It is technically a loan, but because it is not domestic it does not apply to FA rulings. Cheetah and Elephant.
  6. Well it's lured someone away from UEFA cup already.
  7. Lolocaust.
  8. Blatantly getting one. My favourite product this year.
  9. I'd have said Lallana, McGoldrick and Svensson. Svensson hadn't lost a header or tackle before that Blackpool game.
  10. Does anyone know what Dyers community service was?
  11. No idea about Lowe, but if we can survive for the next two seasons i'll be happy. After that pushing for the play-offs.
  12. I never really liked it. Then again, I am too retarded to understand humour in any shape or form.
  13. This is exactly why I hope they disappear into nothingness. F*cking mongs, thinking we actually give a sh*t about them.
  14. Man City have a very good team now. Dunne, Richards, Kompany are three awesome defenders, and when you look at it defense is what sets the big clubs and the small clubs apart.
  15. Meh. Players should be able to do that. Especially with what they're paid these days. It's like all this fuss about Alonso or Beckham scoring from their own half - there was NO keeper and they were never under any pressure. Players should be able to hit the target from the middle of the pitch.
  16. Skacel started as a LB and is far better than Surman defensively. For one thing, he actually has pace.
  17. Wrong. John is massively underrated.
  18. Great, so after all this we're going back to 4-4-2
  19. I'll give him a chance, just not at RB. He is a defensive midfielder without the pace to play at fullback - if Burley had started playing him there people would be in an uproar. James is my only complaint really. I'd rather we used Surman in midfield but I know there is no-one else.
  20. Yes, as he was stood an inch from the touchline before limping about two feet further onto the pitch and sitting down. I don't consider Hammill an ex-player anyway. Massively overrated, especially by himself.

Blackpool out-did us tactically - this will happen a few times this season as JP does not have any experience at this kind of level. (This is NOT a dig a JP, I actually think he's doing a pretty good job so far).
  22. LSC, you're forgetting the 8/9 raking 50 yard passes that went straight out of play. Not to mention that god awful ball right at the end - WTF was that about?

    Killer!

IMO we won't come up against a better target man this year. We don't need to worry. And if we do find ourselves struggling, why not do what we did V Derby in the play-offs? Have one of the midfielders drop back and mark him going for the second ball whilst the CB challenges in the air.
  24. Oops. Lallana attacking midfield....

    Killer!

Perry actually won more headers V Burgess than Svensson did. I'd have had him marking Burgess instead.
