I don't disagree but another way of looking at it is he gave Archer a chance and it was not just wasted but it was shat on and lit on fire. Doubt he gets another start for a long time now.

Yep, that was me. A lot of Adams goals from before we signed him seemed to be either relying on space he wouldn't (and didn't) get in the Prem, or scuffed shots that somehow ended up in the net. I was absolutely derided at the time but ended up with most people agreeing with me.

Highlights from 5+ years ago when he was in his prime and before a run of injuries aren't going to convince me on this guy. And to return to a broken record from the summer, if this is where we are ending up we'd have been much better off keeping Onuachu. Edit; I can feel the laughing emojis coming already, so to pre-empt them; Onuachu is 2nd top scorer in the Turkish league this season, 14 in 24 in all competitions. He has more goals than Mauro Icardi, Marco Ascencio, Victor Osimhen, Leroy Sane and, interestingly, double what Tammy Abraham has who Villa have just deemed good enough to bring back to the Premier League.
