Since July 2015 we only sold Matt Targett from our academy didn't we? No-one else sold, just released.

Combined between the 3 teams they've played 48 games, lost 4, drawn 4 and won 40, as well as scoring 159 goals and conceding just 21 (saints have only conceded 3!). Everyone else in the league except Bridgewater have conceded 20+. The team below us Gillingham admittedly are only 2 points behind, but Saints have 5 games in hand over them. There is a clear gulf between the 3 at the top and the rest of the league.

I agree. Romeu is a few years older than JWP, I can see Romeu last another 2/3 years as a starter for us and by that time JWP will start to lose that engine that seems to never stop meaning he'll need to find a more conservative role for himself. Defensive midfielder sounds ideal.
