  1. Wtf? Players have been going down for a rest since I can remember watching the game. Why are we now being focussed on?
  2. Sounds to me like it was probably lost in translation a little bit. I'd wager he meant one of the biggest teams in the world as opposed to saying bigger.
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. And indeed; HA.
  4. Match day comparison would be +2, I agree.
  5. He probably wouldn't, that wasn't the point of what was being discussed. Semmens was talking about a manager who was number one on their shortlist but has since done an incredible job at a club after recently coming into the premier league, and as such is probably out of reach for us. I was winding up MLG, thought I'd made it obvious but guess not.
  6. I think it could be Graham Potter he's talking about now that I've thought about it more in depth. Matches everything Semmens said.
  7. Our best hope is that Chelsea win the race for Haaland in the summer. Anyone that thinks they won't be in for him - with a "cheap" release clause in place - is naive. He will be the world's top scorer for the next 10+ years, everyone with money to spend will be putting a bid in. And if Chelsea manage it, then Broja will never be anything more than backup staying there.
  8. One of the things he said that was most interesting to me was that selling on players that do well isn't about the money, it's about ensuring the pathway is still open for new young players otherwise the entire system breaks down.
  9. Having listened to it myself he mentions someone who's come in and done an incredible/unbelievable job and as such is probably out of range for us now, which to me doesn't say Frank, Gerrard or Viera. I'd imagine he's talking about Lage. What he's done with wolves is nothing short of amazing.
  10. That indecision is why I was unable to give an exact prediction. Sort it out and I can narrow it down.
  11. Good luck to him. A lot of attacking talent in this lad.
  12. Somewhere between 1 and 33,000.
  13. Levels of De Bruyne and Salah, I agree. But both those examples show they are liable to them.
  14. Armstrong is so undervalued by everyone outside of Saints. He wouldn't look out of place in anyone outside of City or Liverpool.
  15. I doubt it, what if they do an absolutely shit job for the next two years? What if they do an amazing job and Real Madrid want them, but they've already agreed a deal with us? Nothing will be agreed until Ralph actually leaves. Literally have zero idea how you got anything close to this conclusion from that quote.
  16. I imagine they'll just be keeping their eye on certain people to see how they do, but yeah in two years time there will almost certainly be half a dozen managers who have done terrific jobs that nobody has heard of right now.
  17. Just shut up and get behind it though. Doesn't matter if it's poorly covered and not that competitive, you should be supporting the women just as much as the men or you're a misogynist.
  18. Got this mixed up with the Whitney Houston Run To You, was a bit bemused singing it in my head.
  19. Ipswich players getting a little over excited were they?
  20. They also mentioned that Sancho hadn't scored or assisted at home this season, knew what was going to happen once they said that.
  21. Yep, they tweaked our tactics and positioning for the Spurs game and it's clearly worked.
  22. He's absolutely earned a new contract for me. Question is whether he wants to sign one after we made him spend so long in the wilderness.
  23. Anyone got a link to this? I saw him push JWP but not swing at him.
  24. With the success in that last two games I think this topic is worth a thread of its own, but Ralph mentioned that they did a lot of work with data analysts in the build up to Spurs and tweaked the positions that attacking players were taking up according to the stats from previous games. Whatever they changed has clearly worked as we look infinitely better going forward.
  25. Heartbreaking news, especially as he clearly knew the end was so close. Rest in peace mate, thank you for making this place a much more interesting place to come to.
