  1. Someone mentioned to me today that this game is on BBC?
  2. Yep, we keep getting told to take more of an interest in the women's game but nobody gives a fuck about the WSL unless their team is in it. Needs better coverage for the lower leagues.
  3. Jesus Christ Weston, you must be being deliberately obtuse here it can't be an accident. Your questions have been answered and when they are you move the goalposts.
  4. What are you basing your opinion of Lewis on? You cannot seriously tell me that the best we can do as third choice is league two level? We must have literally the worst goalkeeping selection of any premier league side ever if that is the case.
  5. For me it seems clear that he is destined for the very top and I think Chelsea are well aware of how good he is. No way will we be able to sign him - best we can hope for is a two season long loan deal.
  6. Where's the logic here? We won't trust our third choice keeper but an out of contract goalkeeper who wasn't good enough to be number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and on for ANY team is fine? I notice he dove out of the way of the first goal today, with no deflection. Brilliant.
  7. The head to head comparison being so good implies we may end up having a good season yet, though it really doesn't feel like it.
  8. What's the point in having a reserves? What are they "in reserve" for!?
  9. Caballero was considered not good enough to be 3rd, 4th, 5th choice for ANY side. Hence being out of contract.
  10. So shit player who has been training at a prem club and knows the team and style of play versus shit player.
  11. It's a myth that his style of football was defensively solid, he was just very lucky to have Van Dijk, Fonte and Yoshida as his centrebacks.
  12. Sadly I think we're just going to be one of many middling clubs who fall victim to the absurd amounts of money the top teams are raking in now. The disparity has never been worse, it is literally impossible for the likes of us, West Brom, Newcastle*, Palace, pretty much anyone outside the top 6/7 to dream of any sort of sustained success without insane investment. Unless football implodes and we go back to money being shared on a more even basis, competition is dead in the Premier League. I might try and abandon my connection with saints so I can at least enjoy the title race each season. *I said without insane investment...
  13. Boy am I glad we signed Caballero, it's great to have such a steady pair of hands for the next month. Imagine if we'd stuck with a player who has trained regularly with our team for the last few years instead of signing a 40 year old player who has trained with AFC Wimbledon and probably isn't anywhere near match sharpness and won't be for longer than the month contract we've given him? It doesn't bare thinking about!
  14. We'd improved our defensive record at the start of the season which made up for the lower goal tally. But now we're just shit at both ends.
  15. Thank fuck we didn't risk playing Harry Lewis eh.
  16. No, because if you actually look into it beyond the media representation there isn't much difference between the vaccines in terms of those side effects. In fact, I'd wager if you look at most people who received an injection the risk of blood clots is roughly the same.
  17. Indeed, but surely it's better to create antibodies from the vaccine with none of the risk from Covid, then get Covid and be safe because of the vaccine and then have more antibodies?
  18. I don't think we should make the mistake of signing a stop gap to a longer contract. Get to the summer, get rid of Forster and McCarthy and make a quality keeper our number one priority.
  19. Vaccines create antibodies?
  20. As the cheapest and easiest to transport, Astrazeneca is the one we are donating to poorer countries.
  21. What's the point in having a fourth choice keeper then?
  22. True. But we're not a side that can afford to only judge based on premier league records, are we.
  23. Article 4 of FIFA regulations; "The minimum length of a contract shall be from its effective date until the end of the season"
  24. If we have no intention of ever playing him then he's not third choice is he, our third choice keeper is actually *miscellaneous free agent*.
  25. Well then why bother having a third choice keeper at all?
