  1. I mean 13 goals - 6 of which were in European competitions - is pretty good for an AM. I think it's better than Armstrong did for them. There must have been something we saw that made us want to sign him and we only need him as a bench player anyway, he doesn't have to come back and be our star man.
  2. I'm not saying we should be terrified of relegation, i'm just saying that maybe after 1 win in 10 games we shouldnt be getting cocky and smug about things.
  3. Don't be ridiculous. Romeu and JWP have been one of the best midfield partnerships in the league this season, even with how much we've struggled.
  4. Dodgy as fuck from Kevin Friend. Where's he getting this time from, not to mention that freekick to Liverpool for absolutely nothing.
  5. Right on cue...what a block that was.
  6. That Anderson at centreback for Fulham has been superb, looks a proper leader. If we lose Vest or Bednarek he's worth looking at.
  7. I'd go for Gerrard.
  8. Ah I didn't realise it was an automatic thing, thought it was just an option. Weird scenario now where we're rooting for Fulham to stay up without being completely safe ourselves.
  9. Ralph has also hinted that there might still be a place for Elyounoussi and they are monitoring his performances for Celtic closely. With 13 goals and 2 assists in 38 games this season he might be in with a shout.
  10. Indeed, we're still only 7 points ahead with Fulham winning today, it's only a 3 game swing.
  11. Trying to just watch Lemina and gauge if there's a chance he could come back and be a useful player for us, but with 3 first team CMs already and a need for money and reduction of the wage bill I guess it's a given that he's going to go.
  12. Top managers these days should learn from Fergies transfer policy. When you win big like Liverpool did you need to be replacing 4-5 of your squad and at least 2 of your first choice players with ones that haven't won anything in England yet, keep hunger in the team.
  13. He definitely had an air of arrogance when he first got into the team, striding around the pitch like he was Cantona. I remember it distinctly. Glad to see him doing well though. It's a shame we couldn't keep him and Surman when we got relegated as they would have both been great players to have on our rise back through the league's.
  14. We should look at Patson Daka, although west ham will probably be back in for him in the summer and will almost certainly offer more money.
  15. Not suited to Ralph's style at all.
  16. Great news if Fulham stay up and Lemina is playing, we might actually get a decent fee for him.
  17. I hope not, we should be putting our strongest team out in the cup games to the point of resting players in league games around it.
  18. 54 shots on goal, 8 on target in those 6 games. Doesn't take into account any shots after the whistle has gone like the excellent save he made today, or the times he slides in quicker than McCarthy does to smother the ball before the shot is taken, or the times he's claimed the ball in the air to stop it reaching someone. Also it isn't a coincidence, as others have pointed out, that in the 6 games he's played we've only faced 8 shots on target, in only 2 games have we faced more than 1. This was a common theme last time he was in goal for us with Aldeweireld and Lovren in front of him,it's clearly something he does in organising the defense and it works so let's not belittle it.
  19. ...what? I was talking about the one on one. The shot he scored was an instinctual shot with his first touch, he knew instantly what he was going to do and he did it.
  20. Really enjoy seeing Forster back to how he was at Celtic the first time and with us just after he joined. Commanding the box even better than before and making brilliant saves as well as using his initiative in releasing the ball quickly on occasion for breakaways.
  21. Passed it? Yeah, absolutely. Armstrong was free directly in the centre of the goal.
  22. Definitely seems to be that way. He should be looking for the pass whenever he has time really.
  23. Having one already cheers mate, just answering someone that replied to my post as tends to happen on a forum. Cheers!
  24. Absolutely. Never denied saying it. Time will tell if I was wrong as really he's blown hot and cold too, but his strength and passing ability are big attributes regardless of how his goalscoring record holds out.
  25. Because only one of them has done it consistently over the last 5 years, regressing from a player that actually went past defenders to someone that turns and passes backwards and still manages to give it away more than anyone else.
