Not yet it seems, Aribo and Welington coming on.
-
You can forgive him because it's 3-0, but Armstrong is passing up so many opportunities for players in better positions trying to get a speculative shot away.
-
Or, they were only a dozen games into learning a completely different style of play whilst either badly demoralised from last season or settling into a new team and so it took time for them to improve at it. Hey ho.
-
Nice to hear the atmosphere coming back at St Mary's. The fanbase has needed a run of wins after last season.
-
Yeah, they've gotten better at playing it. Still repeatedly said they weren't doing the things he was asking them to do, which they now are.
-
Weird when you moaned repeatedly about Fellows playing RWB and Azaz not being used in the 10 behind the striker.
-
Still repeatedly said they were working on it and not quite doing the things he wanted. Now they are and look how it's working out. The fact Sports Republic stood by Martin for so long last season then ditched Still immediately after one game where the fans were chanting against the board shows how narcissistic and weak minded they are.
-
It's identical to what he wanted. Armstrong dropping deep, Azaz, Scienza and Fellows running beyond him, centre mids pushing forward, 3 at the back.
-
Yep. Glad he went so we could finally switch to the back 3, put Armstrong through the middle as a lone striker, play Fellows at RWB and move Azaz out of the number 10 position as people have been calling for all season.
-
What a stupid thing to do. I think he must have just decided he couldn't be arsed chasing Fellows for the rest of the night.
-
Scienza is incredible.
-
Shocked he didn't get a booking.
-
Thank god for Troy Parrott. Azaz came back from that international break a completely different player.

Would we have won the league with Ramsdale and Onuachu?
Saint_clark replied to SaintsRoyalty's topic in The Saints
I'd give up mate, people on here are blinkered when it comes to Onuachu. Was he poor at Prem level, yes. Are we playing at Prem level, no. In the handful of games he played in one of the worst prem teams ever last season he managed to equal the amount of premier league goals Armstrong has scored in two full seasons, yet nobody questions that Armstrong is a very good player at this level. -
More than two ok dates and one good date.
-
Sounds like that's on the players then, as I was saying.
-
The players were getting to the point that Toussaint outlined in his post. The five at the back is exactly the same, last two games we played worse and today we played better. Still was sacked early because fans changed against Sports Republic and they couldn't have that. If he'd been given time we'd have seen the same progression. Today - 31 shots on goal Swansea home - 28 shots on goal. The difference? Not the formation or the style of play, simply the composure of the players on the pitch.

Funny that we're playing the same formation and system as under still, creating the same amount of chances but players are actually putting them away now. Ekhart will end up getting it now.
-
Downes, Downs, deeper and down...
-
Of course. Cheers Baz.
-
That'll do pig.
-
Stephens trying his best to spoil the performance.
-
You may be right, but we don't need him to be a prodigy for him to be able to do a job for us.
-
Harsh, hasn't he only made one sub appearance for us? Bit early to write him off.
-
Guess it wasn't the players missing buckets of chances or making individual mistakes to give away stupid goals then.
