Agreed, just bizarre that so many of the airlines seem to just have no knowledge of the strikes - even when I suggested the person I was speaking to just simply google "Italian strikes friday 21st october".

So far this season Virgil has played Europa games, Fonte other cup games, I don't see that changing.

Looking beyond the opening times google have posted, there are articles claiming bars open from 8-11 in the morning so maybe we'll be fine. I think co-ordination on the day will be key - find a place that's open, post a picture on here, swarm to it and drink it dry before repeating the process.

Looking at the opening times for most places in Milan - all seems to be 18.00, 19.00 over and over again. Maybe the club were onto something telling people to go to Duomo.

Looked it up on the map - points me about 3 miles out of Milan!

How local is local though? I was in Marseille over the summer and walked for ages without spotting a single supermarket.

Christ, looks right out the way! Looking at that video, and the fact that most people seem to be planning on going to Piazza Duomo/there's only two bars there...getting a crate and heading there might be the order of the day.
