A few minutes before they went 1-0 there was a fantastic save from Hennessey, if that had gone in and we were 1-0 up now would you still be saying we've been playing sh*t?

He does on occasion, as does Bertrand, it's an obvious instruction today to get the balls in early from deep so Long can run onto them and cause a bit of disruption. Yawn.

We used Mane all wrong, he drops deep and plays passes forward, great, but with his agility and ability to go past people he should be up top taking it past the defenders instead of midfielders.

Better performance. Need to start finishing again though in fairness Villa cleared it off the line twice... 3-1 and this place would be very different tonight. Bertrand looked very, very ****ed off in the first half at the ball constantly going backwards and players ignoring him out wide.

I stayed to the end as well, whoop dee doo. Personally i think there's still a chance for Caulker but it isn't this game. As for Wanyama, there has been more than one occasion this season he has simply given up. Inexcusable.

In all honesty, i'd stick Romeu in for Wanyama as well. Sick of his attitude this season. Possibly give JWP a go there as well, see how he fares given another chance playing deeper. Also - i'm not saying i'd make the switch - but Long must feel like he deserves another chance up top ahead of Pelle.

Two home games in a row the away fans have brought smoke bombs in, and yet the home fans are the ones getting letters warning of possible closure of stands. Security should do their job if they're that worried.
