It seems to get forgotten that the "5 year plan" that was mooted at the time of Cortese and Markus' arrival was encompassing the turn around of the entire club from top to bottom, including the staff, renovation of the stadium, redevelopment of the training ground AND getting back to the Prem.

Their problems started when they moved to the Ricoh, not when SISU took over. When it was built they needed at least 10 sell outs just to break even on their budgeted repayments, and IIRC they didn't get any sell outs until 2008, with the crowds averaging around 21-22k. The last few years they've been getting crowds of around 13k, this season dropping down to 10k. They really did aim too high with the stadium and are suffering for it now.

Mayuka, Yoshida and Gazzaniga have all gone up by half a million from when we first actually signed them. Amazing how that happens. Don't be silly. Cortese is clearly a troll but doesn't like using the internet in case he stumbles onto something nasty about him. So instead he plans extravagant and expensive construction, renovation etc. work and then refuses to pay. Then he declines to turn up to "detention" when the courts order him to pay up.

Absolutely. The guy is 21 years old, moving to a new country, in one of the hardest leagues to adapt to in the world, and he has done bloody well so far. Would we get our money back if we were to sell him in the summer? Probably not. Would we get our money back if we were to sell him in 2-3 years? I definitely think so, and much more. To reiterate, he's 21 years old. He's not even close to being in his prime.

I think it's a safe assumption that agents don't like us because they get f*ck all money from us, not because we are "difficult to deal with" as was always widely accepted.
