  1. Skates or not, Ben Haim is way past it (and wasn't THAT great when he wasn't) and Kitson just isn't any better than at least 4 of our current strikers.
  2. So to sum it up for Arsenal away, first priority is those who have been to Man City and both home games (whether ST holder or not) then season ticket holders in general, then non-season ticket holders who have done both home games, then general sale. Don't think it'll even get past season ticket holders personally.
  3. On loan? Not sure what the benefit is. Signing him permanently? I'd be very excited to see how Adkins and Crosby can get the best out of him. There is a great talent in there somewhere. Don't forget he's been playing under Redknapp for 3-4 years, and he's got a pretty poor record when it comes to youth. EDIT; let's be honest, Redknapps record with youth is appalling. Never forget the way Mills slated him after leaving for Man City, saying he never felt "part of the group". Big difference to the four that have recently been brought into the first team squad.
  4. On the contrary, I'd imagine agents overseeing free transfers would request more as they know the club isn't shelling out a transfer fee.
  5. *of a newspaper, yeah. Can't remember exactly when but it must be either near the start or near the end, as they're in the cab for the rest of it.
  6. I was talking to Steve, if it's happened to more than one person chances are it's a problem at the receiving end.
  7. In a scene on the tube in Collateral there's a picture of David Prutton in a Saints shirt on the back page.
  8. Looks like it might be worth setting up a different paypal account for Saintsweb if this is a recurring problem?
  9. He said we would have at least one or two in by the Man City game.
  10. Can't see any way to distinguish between normal news articles and links to Saintsplayer interviews, which is quite annoying.
  11. Apologies, been a hell of a day...
  12. As somebody who works in retail, I can tell you the customer is hardly ever right.
  13. http://www.whatthehellhavethelibdemsdone.com/ I believe something like 75% of there election manifesto has actually come to fruition.
  14. I don't have much of an opinion either way considering I don't have kids, I was just pointing out the difference with regards to responsibility. When it comes down to it I probably wouldn't punish my kids with violence as I've always had a sort of mental block when it came to raising my hands to anybody, but I also believe there are some children who simply do not respond to the suggested tactics - removal of privileges, locking in rooms, taking away toys etc. I remember seeing a post on here somewhere condemning the use of violence but then suggesting the use of "washing the mouth out with soap" when they swear or say something naughty. Personally that seems a lot more cruel in a pre-meditated kind of way than a light smack on the arse.
  15. Because they're adults. Anyone under the age of 16 is a child and is the parents responsibility. There is a clear difference.
  16. Can't see that being true. If there was nothing contracted then the exchange would simply be; Buttners Dad - "I want a percentage of the transfer fee". Southampton and Vitesse - "No".
  17. Bournemouth are looking good for a promotion this year to be honest with the squad they're putting together.
  18. What a tw*t. Can't believe more people around him didn't react immediately though.
  19. Few people I know are still complaining about the Olympics (having watched none of it) and then when they did sit down to watch some they just spent the whole time taking the p*ss out of the "stupid" events and exclaiming "this is sh*t". I left early.
  20. Been trying to find a video of that, doesn't seem to be anywhere.
  21. I've been trying to sum up how I feel for ages now, but I just can't. I'm just emotionally charged, so many different feelings running through my head. I reckon at least another 3 golds tomorrow.
  22. There is a thread with exactly the same title halfway down this page, plus a HCDAJFU thread at the top and a thread about quality additions (or lack thereof). http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?39100-Centre-Half
  23. How many times do you see the "lesser" teams overcome the big guns by getting right in their faces? Chaplow will be useful for exactly that. His energy will be important in closing down the playmakers.
  24. Indeed.
  25. I guess the simple answer is to stop moaning.
