  1. Bristol beat us at home, here's hoping Coventry can pull off a similar result.
  2. As far as I see it, the immediate bans for racism is for the more obscene offences, racial hatred, condoning racial violence etc. Whilst your analogies are fair points, this place is more often compared to a pub and the banter that goes along with it. If you used one of the words that were used in the Tadanari Lee thread in a pub you would most likely get shouted down and told to shut up, and then after repeat offences be told to leave - which is exactly what the infractions system does. Without naming names I can tell you that at least one poster is on their last chance, and one more infraction will automatically result in a ban. Finally I can guarantee you that none of the mods or admin in any way condone or agree with racism at any level, nor are we protecting certain posters as you seem to think.
  3. The racist posts have been deleted now - but I haven't the faintest idea what pornographic images you're referring to.
  4. Looks like he'd suit us perfectly from what I've seen - hitting shots first time in the area, a real poacher. Obviously it's only Youtube, but our scouts would have seen much more of him. It's still only a rumour of course...
  5. It was clear that he is low on confidence when in the first half V Bristol City he had a great chance to shoot from the edge of the box, but instead held it up and passed it wide.
  6. He had a great start to the season, which people seem to have forgotten.
  7. Gonna nip this in the bud. My condolences, Huffton.
  8. Allardyce confirmed that Huddersfield had given them a firm no and that West Ham couldn't afford what they were asking. Not sure why this would wind anyone up - it means that Rhodes will not be going there.
  9. As has been mentioned before, they could get rid of some of the ridiculously overpaid presenters/pundits (and i'm not just talking about on MOTD here) and then they could afford the footy contracts.

  11. Here's hoping Sky take up the contract.
  12. Mate, it's not like the rest of us were hoping for anything else.
  13. How are people enjoying the democratic decision to get rid of the HCDAJFU threads back in the summer?
  14. ...and now thanks to this, anybody we do sign will be seen as not good enough, and the january transfer window will be deemed a "failure to capitalise".
  15. I love looking back at threads like that where people come out with utter tosh.
  16. The point for me is some in the stadium go mental when Guly messes up, and yet when any other player does something similar you hear those people shout "unlucky Lambo" and applaud them.
  17. And whack Hooiveld round the face after losing the ball in the second half. Can't believe he got away with that, but I seemed to be the only person that noticed it.
  18. Shalalalalalalala...
  19. It took Guly until about january of last season to properly settle in and hit form IIRC, so i'd wait a bit longer before getting worried. The fact that he has made an impact most of the time he's played is encouraging.
  20. Doubt it. I reckon things will be settled, for better or worse, away to Middlesbrough.
  21. Top. It's in our own hands, and I have every confidence in the club from top to bottom.
  22. This is amazing. Might have to do it for the boxing day game, seeing as I won't be going to Boro.
  23. Whilst I think he's a very good player, I have to point out that his goals to game ratio is based entirely on a season and a half in League One. Wait until he gets a regular run in the NPC and then see what happens (if he ever gets fit enough).
  24. Depends where you look. There are a few of those, but there a quite a few players like Scharner, Tiote, Dempsey etc...all players who have a great attitude and a willingness to do well for the shirt. These are the sorts of players we will be looking to sign, rather than the Midos and the Zakis of the world.
  25. I find it odd that had the tickets been £3 dearer with no booking fees people would have had no complaints.
